MADISON, Wis. — Rep. Amanda Nedweski (R–Pleasant Prairie) announced that her office is accepting nominations for the 32nd Assembly District’s First Responder of the Year award, recognizing a police officer, firefighter, or EMS professional who has gone above and beyond in service to the community. The honor is presented once per legislative session in conjunction with National First Responders Day and highlights exemplary dedication to public safety across the district.
The nomination window is open now through Sept. 19. Nominees must live or work in the 32nd Assembly District, and submissions may cite specific heroic actions, significant professional milestones, sustained leadership, or a distinguished body of work over the course of a career. The selected honoree will be recognized during a ceremony at the State Capitol in October.
Nominations should be emailed to Rep.Nedweski@legis.wisconsin.gov and include the nominee’s name and position, years of public service, and a detailed explanation of why they merit recognition as First Responder of the Year. The 32nd District includes the Town and Village of Bloomfield, Village of Bristol, Town of Brighton, Village of Genoa City, portions of Kenosha and Lake Geneva, Village of Paddock Lake, Town of Paris, Village of Pleasant Prairie, Town of Randall, Village of Salem Lakes, Village of Twin Lakes, and the Town of Wheatland.
