BRISTOL, Wis. — Nearly 160 veterans, service members, and their family members tested their strength and balance Friday night at Boundless Adventures, where the aerial adventure park once again hosted its annual Veterans Climb.
The free event, open to veterans and active-duty military and their families, filled the high ropes courses with climbers of all ages throughout the afternoon and evening. Non-veterans who paid to join in helped raise money for Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 11279 in Twin Lakes, with Boundless Adventures donating proceeds from the night.

Community Leaders Express Gratitude
County Executive Samantha Kerkman joined the gathering to recognize those who served. “We’re here to say ‘thank you’ to our veterans, and show appreciation for your service to our country,” she told the crowd.

Brian Funtleyder, who owns Boundless Adventures with his wife, Lorrie, said it was an honor to host the event for the sixth year. “I’m humbled to be here because you did so much work, you served our country,” Funtleyder said. “We get to live and take for granted these freedoms and ideals that you guys worked for.”
A Park Built for Challenge and Camaraderie
Boundless Adventures has been part of Kenosha County’s Bristol Woods Park since 2019, offering six acres of obstacle courses suspended between trees and utility poles. The courses range from beginner to expert, giving participants the opportunity to climb, zipline, and push their limits in a supportive setting.
The partnership between the private operator and Kenosha County Parks has turned the venue into both a destination for adventure and a stage for community-focused events like the Veterans Climb.
