KENOSHA, Wis. — A second juvenile was taken into custody at Mary D. Bradford High School on Thursday morning, one day after a 16-year-old was arrested following a struggle with officers and the recovery of a loaded firearm.
According to the Kenosha Police Department, officers arrested a 15-year-old male student at approximately 10:30 a.m. Thursday on an active probation hold detainer.
Police said that prior to the arrest, officers received information that the juvenile had been seen in possession of a firearm off school grounds and that a firearm might be stored at his residence.
Officers coordinated with school administrators to locate the student. Police responded to the school and safely detained him in a hallway without incident. To minimize disruption to school operations, a subsequent search was conducted outside the building.
During that search, officers located multiple firearm magazines and ammunition in the juvenile’s possession. Police conducted what they described as a thorough search of the school building and surrounding grounds and said no additional contraband was found.
“At this time, investigators do not believe a firearm was brought onto school property,” police said in a statement.
The investigation remains ongoing.
The arrest comes just one day after a separate incident at Bradford High School in which a 16-year-old male was taken into custody after administrators and a school resource officer attempted to search him based on information that he may have been armed. In that case, police said the student resisted, resulting in a physical struggle before he was subdued. A concealed, loaded firearm was recovered during the search. No serious injuries were reported.
Police said Thursday’s response was “carefully considered” and that, based on available information and recent events, officers acted swiftly to safely detain the juvenile while reducing potential risk to students and staff.
The Kenosha Police Department said it remains committed to maintaining a safe learning environment for students and faculty as both investigations continue.

The reasons to homeschool really just make themselves glow.
Yes , but not always possible for all families.
I get it, but I’d rather have my kids learn physics and calculus from someone else.
This is exactly why gun charges need to hold maximum penalty. You know like berg selling to felons? How you think this shit gets to the kids. Not law abiding gun owners.
Forget school, enroll them in Huber. Zoerner knows how to keep things orderly. I bet he could design a better system.
Fuck zoerner. He would give them a slap on the wrist as well. He is a little bitch Who’s going to be voted out this year
Having ammunition in school grounds should be a felony. Very terrifying
Well… I was trying to not comment but temptation won… I will say the mascot “Bradford Red Devil’s” really does suit that place. Now if you are one of the few good and pure of heart, get your kid the HELL out of there! Or if you are a smart teacher, resign. Otherwise, that institution (not a school) really is a Hell: Students and their gang activities and downright heathen-like minds, and then the staff: scheming liars, and two-faced and back-stabbers. But, If you are one of the few “good one’s” left, get out!, otherwise those demons deserve each other.
Start arresting the parents. Let them have the responsibility to raise their kids and not the taxpayers
