Ron Redlin, the newly appointed Fire Chief in Twin Lakes, praised two-time convicted felon and arsonist, 36-year-old Glen A. Tietz, Jr. In a statement to KCE, Chief Redlin said that Tietz is trustworthy, dependable and volunteers countless hours weekly to help the department and community. According to its website, Tietz is not only a firefighter for the Village of Twin Lakes, he is also a fire commission member, along with his father, Glen Tietz, Sr. who is a Captain for the department. In Twin Lakes, they are referred to as “trustees.” As a trustee, both Teitzs helped select Redlin as the new Chief.
Arson and Felony Criminal Damage to Property In Rock County
Tietz admitted to arson of a building and felony criminal damage to property that he committed in the late evening of September 23, 2011 into the morning hours of September 24, 2011. Since he gave a full confession and cooperated with police, the Rock County DA dismissed the arson charges and Tietz pled guilty to the felony of criminal damage to property. According to the criminal complaint and police reports, Tietz was a disgruntled employee of a business that had a location in Salem and Clinton. Tietz burned a storage structure to the ground and caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage to the building and several valuable pieces of heavy equipment. Tietz also admitted to spray-painting, or “tagging” vehicles and buildings. The words “wetback” and “nig***” were painted on the property. He also painted penises, swastikas, the term “420,” “FUCK U” and more. Tietz also admitted to driving vehicles into the pond on the property. Tietz admitted to be out drinking just before the incident. Tietz got nine months of work-release and three years of probation.
Burglary and Felony Criminal Damage to Property In Salem
Tietz admitted to burglary of a dwelling and felony criminal damage to property that he committed in the late evening of March 31, 2012, about six months after the arson in Rock County. Since he gave a full confession and cooperated with police, the Kenosha County DA dismissed the burglary charge and Tietz pled guilty to the felony of criminal damage to property. An ultra-liberal judge, the late Michael Wilk, gave Tietz only three years of probation. According to the criminal complaint and police reports, Tietz admitted to drinking before he went to his place of employment, this time, in Salem. He told police he wasn’t happy with the way his employer treated him. He admitted to burglarizing a building and taking heavy equipment from the building and driving them into the pond here. He also ran over expensive plants. The damage was more that $12,500.
As Chief Redlin points out, a convicted felon, like Teitz, isn’t technically barred from being a firefighter. Tietz, as a fire commission member, was one of the trustees who denied KCE’s request for the documents alleging that the former fire chief, Stan Clause, allegedly sexually harassed an employee, Hannah Felipez and asked her to have a threesome with him and his step daughter. He, along with the other trustees approved the hiring of an expensive law firm to conceal these documents.

Love that you are exposing these losers keep up the good work, and look ve how when there is a fire that Allen Dunski is right there on the spot videoing all this, like to no how he as a arsonist can run a scanner page and be allowed to be on the scene of a fire funny how he is right there before the departments are makes you wonder
Punctuation and words seem hard for you, I’m pretty sure I had a stroke trying to read this….
That’s because you ARE a stroke
Agreed. What is up with these Kenosha county fire departments hiring arsonists? Are there not enough actual fires to keep them in business? They have to hire arsonists to pad their fire numbers or something? It’s completely nuts. Get rid of the nepotism and hire honorable honest people!
Sent this to contact 6 maybe they will also do a investigation as well
YOU send it.
I would imagine this Twin Lakes “official” would endorse all the cocaine being done in ever bar in town too huh? He’s another “flash” former patrol perv from the Twin Lakes PD. This town in rotten to it’s core!
The late Judge Wilk, a Republican, was not “ultra liberal” but he could be all over the boards — sometimes sending a lot of people to prison, sometimes not.
His son was aligned with the Dems but he was appointed by Gov. Walker to a judgeship, perhaps because of his wife’s ties to Walker.
In fact, Judge Schroeder was one of the most lenient sentencing judges in the courthouse. If he scolded a defendant, as he often did, then the sentence would usually be pretty light, often undercutting prosecutor recommendations. Defendants didn’t like Schroeder because he could go either way but lawyers knew that the more he barked the less the bite.
Labels don’t mean much.
Just write your name Ginkowski. We all know it is you.
Yep, so funny.,But it would be best if he went away…permanently.
KCE is correct that Tietz got three years probation in what the court minutes suggests was a coordinated disposition. Three years is the max term for probation in a class I felony: http://www.badgerlawyer.com/criminal-law/crime-sentencing.php. Both judges gave Tietz the maximum term of probation that they could. The difference is that Rock County imposed and stayed a sentence while Kenosha withheld it meaning that if Tietz screwed up on probation it could come back and impose a consecutive sentence. Tietz also paid full restitution up front which is unusual.
Having said all of this, KCE is spot on: What’s with fire departments in western Kenosha county having cozy relationships with fire setters??? I was able to pull up this information with a one-minute online search. They have internet service in Twin Lakes and Salem, don’t they???
Just charging them with whatever crimes they committed and let the judge decide how to be lenient.
I’ll admit that getting a confession takes dealing but if they have good evidence why bother ?
Just go to trial and convict them of everything.
Some will say that that cost extra dollars for the county but if we sent these criminals to jail for everything they do then maybe others will see that as a deterrent. Deterrent is what jail is all about, isn’t it ? And less crime means less cost. For both the victims and society.
Besides, if he was in jail for the first offense he wouldn’t have been out (or employed) to do the second offense. Just saying
A lot of people have odd likes…..but all these fuckers who like to get off on lighting fires is pretty ghey.
So….a guy makes a couple years of bad decisions, takes the punishment and pays his debts. He then betters himself since the issues over 11 years ago, doesn’t get in ANY more trouble, and actually tries to contribute and volunteer for his community. Now we’ll drag him back through the mud for what? Let’s drag others and his family in too? Must be a slow news day.
Key words:
Takes the punishment.
“But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness” 1 John 1:9
Steps to repentance
1. Acknowledge the sin 1 John 1:9
2. Confess the sin James 5:16
3. Asking forgiveness Psalm 51:1
4. Turning away from the sin Act 3:19
5. Feeling genuine sorrow for your wrongdoing 2 Corinthians 7:10
6. Embrace a new way of life in Christ 2 Corinthians 5:17
This man made mistakes as a BOY, 12 years ago. He acknowledged them, he confessed, he apologized, he asked for forgiveness, he feels sorrow, he’s embraced a new way of life and has given back to his community. He did his time in prison. He paid for his mistakes legally. He has proven his change and maturity. For anyone that knows this man, knows he messed up but made MISTAKES! Which is something we are forgiven for, as Jesus died on the cross to FORGIVE US OUR SINS!
The first sentence in the section about the author, states you’re a Christian. As a Christian, you of all people should understand. I truly pray for you, you clearly need it! Going after people that have been forgiven, yet you are trying to take them down and remind them of their past. I’m sure you are not perfect and have needed forgiveness for your sins. I pray because you feel so low about yourself that you find the need to tear down others. I pray for you, sir. God bless you!
Go thump you bible bs somewhere else, these sick f..ks are lucky they did kill anyone. Let me ask if they did kill someone by setting these fires then would you still say the same thing
Wow, this is a very intelligent statement. {insert sarcasm}
LMFAO ok excuses are for assholes stop covering for him, just like a pedo they never change
God, you are a stupid fuck, aren’t you? DO WE HAVE TO WRITE THIS IN BIG LETTERS FOR SOME OF YOU LIKE WE DID ON THE LAST ARTICLE REGARDING PUTTING ARSONISTS IN POSITIONS OF POWER FOR FIRE DEPARTMENTS?!
Would you put a pedo in charge of a day care?
Would you put an addict in charge of a pharmacy?
God, some of you are fucking dumb. It has nothing to do with him paying his sentence. That’s great! However, he should never be put in a position of power with a fire department.
👍
Your language makes you sound oh so very smart.
Why? has this offence directly affected the performance of the Twin lakes Fire department? the town? Sure doesn’t look like it since the newly appointed fire chief is praising the guy for giving back to the community and the department.
100% right on the spot I agree
So, I guy rapes a child, is convicted, does his time and is put on the rapist registry for life. Then he goes and gets a job at a daycare. Your’e ok with that? Some things have consequences for your actions. If he had anger issues with his employer and got help with anger management, GREAT. If he “did his time” with probation, GREAT. That doesn’t mean he still doesn’t have consequences for his actions in the future. One thing I believe he SHOULDN’T be allowed to do is work as a firefighter or in the field. Just as much as I don’t think a man who raped a child should work at a daycare! I also don’t think a person who robbed a bank should be allowed to work at a place that handles money, or a person who poisoned food while being a cook at a restaurant should ever be allowed to have a job making food. People can be forgiven, serve their time, move on with their lives, but there are consequences for your actions.
Wow

A boy? It happened in 2011-2012. I don’t think he was 12 at that time if he was allowed to drink and drive machinery.
Never in my life, have I read about so many alleged and/or convicted
Teachers, staff, law enforcement, public officials, etc. until KCE showed up on the scene.
He is able to uncover more in one story, than the Kenosha fish wrapper
could do in a week.
Keep up the good work.
This guy is amazing, it’s just sickening that all these sheep sit praise these sickos, I bet if these fire starters were to set a fire, and tell there sheep it’s ok to walk into the fire they would, oh I forget the one does so much For his community, he did so great that he burnt down the fire station, yeah that’s a great guy right there. Went to school with him and even back then he was a creep and still is
Don’t insult decent fish wrappers like MAD ! Kenosha News isn’t even suitable for THAT 😂
His daddy is the captain of the Dept. which explains why Jr. gets to fail upwards. There’s a reason convicted felons have a difficult time finding work. They shouldn’t be allowed to serve the public under any capacity unless it’s picking up trash on the side of the road. His second and third chance should come from the private sector not public. There many people that go about life the right way and deserve the opportunities over convicted felons.
Good luck Twin Lakes. With Redlin now in charge, you are going to need it….biggly.
Based on what?
It sounds like a Steinbrink Sr., Steinbrink Jr., and the hiring of “inside” people with Pleasant Prairie Public Works.
Come on guys, how is he supposed to learn how to extinguish fires without starting a few?
Wonder how Randall and Wheatland feel about this since twin lakes fire department is forcing the three communities to go to referendum to pay for their 1.3M budget shortfall. Wonder if Randall and Wheatland will reconsider. Also how can twin lakes fire department not release information if they are supported by the referendum. These communities need to wake up!!
you are seeing the being of the end of Randall and Wheatlands fire departments. They are admitting they can not do the job and are turning over the responsibility to Twin Lakes Fire Department

Shortfall? Do you really know what the referendum is for? It’s not for a shortfall it’s to add full time career firefighter/EMT’s to a department thats been served by volunteers since it’s inception nearly 100 years ago. Do your own homework before you spew misinformation.
I wouldn’t want MY community to contract with FELONS! You’re going to trust these people into our homes?!?! Randall needs to rethink this referendum!!!!
Tell us what exactly YOU do to contribute to YOUR community? Any volunteerism? Community service? Anything??
He doesn’t start FIRES! That’s a contribution! 😂
Pay my taxes
Most referendums are ways to get your taxes raised after all the money that was given to the company spent it on other things.
Thank you Kevin for your hard work.
