Somers, Wis. – A Somers man, Logan J. Rizzuto, 30, appeared in Kenosha County Circuit Court today, March 24, 2025, facing a litany of charges stemming from a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in the Village of Somers. Kenosha County District Attorney Xavier Solis was present in court as Circuit Court Commissioner William Michel II set bail at $100,000 cash. DA Solis asked for a $500,0000 bail.
Rizzuto is charged with 47 counts, including four counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, felony bail jumping, discharging a firearm in a school zone, possession of THC as a second offense, criminal trespass, criminal damage to property, and carrying a concealed weapon, among others. Many of the charges carry enhancers for use of a dangerous weapon and repeater status due to Rizzuto’s prior misdemeanor convictions in 2020 for misdemeanor bail jumping, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct.
The incident unfolded around 6 p.m. on March 22, when Kenosha County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of shots fired near 1810 Sheridan Road. According to the criminal complaint, a 911 caller reported that her boyfriend witnessed a man firing shots near their location. The boyfriend described ducking for cover as the suspect, later identified as Rizzuto, fled the scene.
A second 911 call reported a white male discharging a firearm in the Northside Superette parking lot, just north of the initial scene. Deputies interviewed a Carthage College student who recounted a disturbing encounter. The student, along with three friends, had been at the store when they noticed Rizzuto staring at them aggressively. As they left in a red Chevy sedan, Rizzuto followed on foot, pulled a firearm from his waistband, and fired at their vehicle. A single shell casing was recovered from Sheridan Road, corroborating their account.
Surveillance footage from Northside Superette captured Rizzuto inside the store and later raising his arm toward the departing vehicle. A store worker identified him as a regular customer named Logan. Witnesses reported seeing him run toward a nearby residence, where deputies later apprehended him.
Deputies discovered Rizzuto had forced entry into a neighboring unit, damaging the owner’s door and leaving behind a Springfield XDS .45 ACP handgun, ammunition, and personal items in the bathtub. A search of Rizzuto’s own unit revealed additional .45 ACP rounds, 10.17 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a digital scale. The shooting occurred within 1,000 feet of Carthage College, triggering the school zone firearm charge.
Rizzuto, who was on bail for prior cases in Fond du Lac, Racine, and Winnebago counties, admitted to being at the Superette and made spontaneous statements about noticing the car and its occupants. His bond conditions in those cases prohibited new criminal activity, leading to multiple bail jumping charges.
The complaint highlights Rizzuto’s criminal history, including a 2014 THC possession conviction and a 2022 Racine County conviction for operating while intoxicated and carrying a concealed weapon. If convicted on all counts, he faces a maximum prison sentence of over 260 years, with penalties enhanced due to his repeater status and use of a dangerous weapon.
Rizzlto is due back in court on April 2, 2025 for a preliminary hearing.

What is WRONG with Circuit Court Commissioner William Michel and his low bail amounts? This guy has plenty of charges against him, lets keep him in jail so he can’t hurt anyone else?

These judges should have to live in houses surrounded by the people they’ve let out under conditions like this. Or at least. their families should have to live surrounded by them.

Actually, as far as mugshots go, that one’s not bad at all. So what, he fired a few shots. He didn’t hurt anyone. Maybe he should get 30 days.
