KENOSHA, Wis. – A Kenosha man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he fired a gun during a large party and was later found with packaged cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and bullets in his home.

(Kenosha County Sheriff)
Michael B. Beals Jr., 20, was charged in Kenosha County Circuit Court Friday with three counts of second-degree recklessly endangering safety, one count of possession with intent to deliver cocaine (15–40 grams), and two misdemeanor drug-related offenses. Court Commissioner William Michel II ordered a $75,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 18.
The charges stem from two separate incidents. The first occurred the night of May 16, when officers responded to reports of a fight and gunshots at a house party in the 4800 block of 23rd Avenue. According to the criminal complaint, multiple teens told officers that Beals fired a handgun into the air near the front porch in an apparent attempt to break up a fight. One witness said Beals had been “hitting on her” earlier in the evening and had given her his phone number, which was later confirmed to belong to him.
Several juveniles described the party as chaotic, with multiple fights breaking out and a large crowd fleeing when the shots were fired. Police later recovered witness video of the party showing Beals in distinctive clothing. One witness said Beals told her afterward, “Sorry, I had to make some s*** loose,” a statement she interpreted as an admission to the gunfire.
Based on the investigation, officers obtained a search warrant for Beals’ home in the 6200 block of 12th Avenue. On July 10, detectives found nearly 27 grams of suspected cocaine packaged in small “8-ball” baggies, a red digital scale, additional packaging materials, and two unfired 9mm bullets. Officers also found a locked safe containing more cocaine, and Beals’ bedroom matched descriptions and clothing seen in the earlier video.
Detectives say the amount and packaging of the cocaine, combined with the presence of a scale and empty bags, strongly suggests an intent to sell. Officers also found marijuana, a water bong, and THC wax.
Beals admitted to police that he owned a gun and provided access to his phone, which had been used to invite teens to the party, according to the complaint. His home is located within 1,000 feet of Brass Community School, which could carry additional penalties if drug activity occurred there.
If convicted of all charges, Beals faces up to 65 years in prison. He is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on July 18.
