Both of these women need to lose a few pounds.
I’m sure comments like this are supposed to help, maybe even make me not want to eat. I love all the bullying that’s come from this. I truly hope people feel better about themselves publicly commenting on someone’s weight. If anyone else wants to jump in and bully me, feel free there have already been plenty of anonymous people doing it.
Also, since people keep twisting things: these were company bills company phone lines and expenses. The nonprofit was run out of my home. I was transparent and asked for reimbursement only because I had a family emergency. I rejected pay for an entire year as Executive Director because I wanted to put the community first and help more moms, not myself. The one time I needed help and had request to be reimbursed (paid) with board approval I’m now being slandered all over the internet.
I don’t care if I’m not your favorite person or if people don’t like me, but the level of slander, hate, and even death threats over normal, approved nonprofit expenses is disgusting. Do people realize that other Executive Directors in town make close to $100k a year? Do you think 100% of donations at any nonprofit go straight to the community? No there are operational expenses. That’s how nonprofits function. I respect and support other nonprofits in this community, and this isn’t throwing stones at anyone.
This happened because the board was inexperienced and didn’t realize these were normal expenses that were already approved under the bylaws. Jamie Warosh, the Board President, was my boss and the person I was required to go through for approval. I asked for a board meeting and was told it wasn’t necessary. The other board members didn’t fully understand at the time, and that is not their fault. We grew very quickly, and we all needed coaching. Jamie should have been a better president, board governance was not my job. It was HER job to communicate with other board members. She caused all of this.
People who anonymously attack people’s body online generally have their own problems. Dont even worry about it. Must say, your side of story seems to make alot of sense

While I didn’t want to believe it at first, I’m starting to realize some hard truths. And I also need to say this: when people refer to a “real job,” it genuinely hurts. I worked extremely hard to grow this organization, and what we accomplished in our first year was real, meaningful work. Right now, we would have been opening the doors to our building.
I personally paid for operational expenses out of my own pocket to grow this program. I put in countless hours more than most people will ever see or understand.
The building is still there. It’s still waiting. But at this point, the board is not cooperating, funds are being withheld, and I’ve become the target of blame and hatred being portrayed as something I am not.
Despite all of this, I am still fighting for accountability and resolution. I will make sure the funds are used for the community we serve, or donated to another nonprofit if that’s what it comes to. I am the only one still standing up for the people this organization exists to serve.
But that doesn’t make it bad advice. If everybody’s new and doing a bad job and you think telling us how much other people are making somehow has anything to do with the defense, you really should get a real job.
Nonprofit work is real work. Operational expenses include salaries that is standard, ethical, and necessary for any organization to function. In this situation, $100 was paid during a time of need to help save a life. That is not misuse of funds.
I stated a fact: not all donations go directly to programs because nonprofits cannot operate without infrastructure, leadership, and labor. This was a full-time role, and it was treated as such.
Our first year accomplished real, measurable impact hundreds of families helped, resources delivered, and a genuine mission carried out. Growing too quickly is a capacity and experience issue, not a reflection of bad intent or lack of effort. Yes, there were lessons learned and systems that could have been strengthened sooner, but that does not erase the hours worked or the lives impacted.
I give you credit.
You at least came on here and spoke calmly and intelligently. That’s not what most people do who are shitty. This, I feel you should be given the benefit of the doubt at this point.
