KENOSHA, Wis. — Kenneth D. Byrd, 24, of Kenosha, and Jamauel A. Ford, 27, of Sturtevant, were charged Friday following a Kenosha traffic stop that prosecutors say ended with Byrd smuggling more than six grams of suspected crack cocaine into the Kenosha County Jail and attempting to swallow the bag when it fell from his clothing. Ford, who police say initially gave officers a fake identity and later pulled marijuana from his underwear at the jail, was also charged. Kenosha County Court Commissioner Daniel “Catch & Release” Kellum set only $2,500 cash bail for each man.
