KENOSHA, Wis. — Used car salesmen have long battled an unfavorable reputation in America. While plenty of honest, hardworking people make their living selling automobiles, the stereotype of the dishonest used car salesman has endured for generations. That makes Kenosha Mayor David Bogdala's decision to appoint is close friend Giacomino Ruffolo, a used car salesman, to the city's powerful Police and Fire Commission particularly noteworthy. The commission is arguably the most important appointed body in city government, wielding extraordinary authority over who gets hired, promoted, disciplined, and fired within the Kenosha Police and Fire Departments. With the city preparing to select its next police chief, Ruffolo will help make a decision that could shape the department for decades.

Nothing surprises me anymore. In Michigan they (within days) kicked a woman out of the democrat party for endorsing a republican. Too bad our rino mayor won’t get the same treatment for endorsing a democrat for governor. Regarding Ruffalo, what do we have to do to sell you a used fire truck or patrol vehicle today?
His new boyfriend! Oops
Not sure what the issue is. Anyone on the PFC is a handpicked friend of the mayor. None of which have a clue about fire service or police work. The former FBI agent on the commission was a waste of space but friend of the mayor.
It would be nice to see crime victims or first responders get a say so.
Well, I have a feeling the commission is about to get an extraordinary amount of information while choosing the next chief if police. Hats off to them.
