Kenosha Preacher Arrested, Charged With Repeated Sexual Assault Of Granddaughter One Year After DCFS Allegedly “Didn’t Do Anything”

Monroe Mitchell III (60) of Kenosha

A local preacher is free on a $15,000 cash bond after being charged last Friday, September 16, 2022 with Felony Repeated Sexual Assaults of a Child and two counts of attempted fourth degree sexual assault. Mitchell is a preacher with Agape Love Christian Church here in Kenosha. He faces more than 40 years in the Wisconsin Prison System.

The now-16-year-old victim told her teacher last Thursday, September 15, 2022 that her grandfather, Monroe Mitchell III touched her private areas many times for the last year. She lives with him and her grandmother. The assaults started when she was 15. The young woman and her other grandmother talked to DCFS about a year ago, and she said “they didn’t do anything.” After DCFS refused to act, she felt “trapped in a cage.” After Mitchell would touch her privates he would tell her to “keep it between us.” He would often enter her room when her underwear was the only thing on and ordered her to keep her bedroom door unlocked. She told a KPD detective that the assault happened most recently in the past month – she said Monroe tried to touch her vagina under her shorts, but she resisted. Monroe denied the allegations to police.

DCFS staff are mandatory reporters and KCE is currently investigating whether or not DCFS notified Kenosha police as they are required by law. DCFS is often criticized for not doing complete or any investigations, so many would blame this terrible mistake on the incompetence of the DCFS office here in Kenosha County, but we learned something alarming. Monroe Mitchell III is the father of Kenosha violent felon and Parkside professor, Sharmain Harris. We told you last week that Harris is making hundreds of thousands off of the County thanks to John Jansen, Kenosha County’s Director of Human Services. Like his son, Mitchell is a convicted felon for selling crack. Like his son, Monroe has domestic abuse charges and convictions. Like his son, he has recently asked governor Tony Evers for a pardon. Like his son, DA Graveley supported Mitchell’s pardon. DA Graveley hasn’t decided if he is going to send this case to a neighboring DA due to a conflict of interest.

We emailed Ron Rogers and John Jansen to ask if the terrible mistake was due to incompetence, or if they intentionally told DCFS to “stand down” due to their relationship with Sharmain Harris. Rogers sent us an email this evening saying that he can’t comment on this case. There is no possibility for media or citizen oversight over DCFS because of the secrecy laws. This makes it incredibly easy for bureaucrats like Rogers and Jansen to evade scrutiny. This is evident in the extremely popular Netflix documentary “The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez.” The only people that can review this, is the County Board and the County Executive. They have been notified.

  1. I am shocked that this mighty man of God was not president of the KUSD school board, or director of diversity training making 100k per year at UW Parkside or Gateway ??
Perhaps the city or county can find him a great gig in between sentencing.

Keep hope alive, yes we can…build back better and please remember that young black girls lives truly do matter. We need to pray now to the Holy Mother Oprah for guidance and understanding.

    1. You forgot to mention carthage, they also have filled useless diversity non-educator positions with box-checking useless former city non-educators.

  2. I see this man as having a bright future, perhaps appointed as Mayor John Antaramians equity advisor. When DA Graveley drops charges and releases him, perhaps he’ll host the next Drag show story time at Blue House Bookstore.

  3. Anyone else notice the trend? Felons and continued charges of so called leaders of Kenosha like this guy, cardinali are all left wing and friends with “leaders” like berg and other government paid “leaders” Yet, they are the first to call out anyone who disagrees with their wack agenda. The more you know. Bunch of snakes

    1. Gravely has a very close connection with this family. If it’s left up to Gravely he will be released with no charge. Then again, he will likely just out source to Walworth who will do what Gravely suggests.

  4. Let’s see what Nudo and Decker will do to address this issue since they are the “leaders” of the County Board. Also, doesn’t Kerkman have the power to fire an employee at will? Seems like a pretty clear case here.

    1. What does that have to do with our revolving door system of justice and this particular story? So long as we are an attractive place for bad humans and developing an ever-growing reputation as a safe haven from prosecution, it really isn’t going to matter much who’s on the County board or similar organizations. Our immediate problem is upcoming trials and our DA and his office

  5. Sad for the young girl. Hopefully she’s able to get therapy.

When reading this article makes me think of a popular Vietnam era rock song by the group The Animals called; We’ve Gotta Get Out Of This Place, if it’s the last thing we ever do.

    Kenosha is a septic tank.

  6. This family has been through a lot. I believe it was her relative that was also murdered in the Wyndham hotel down by the lake earlier this year(please correct me if I’m wrong). Smh prayers for the children. Also I hope this sick mf gets as much time as possible.

  7. I notice “preacher” monroe is wearing an “I can’t breath” shirt.

He can’t breath because he is a fat ass diabetic who stuffs his fat face with junk food while we all pay his medical bills.

He probably lives in a “food desert” where only Popeye’s and KFC is available due to racism…

  8. So again the seceret underbelly of Kenosha politics comes into public view . The very fact that felons are appointed to these high paying jobs is a huge question of integrity on the part of the county official . Gravely and his Socalist ties and support to BLM will ship this case to another leftist prosecutor that will let gramps off with a wack on the wrist! This whole affair of government officials embracing criminals who are not qualified for those positions should cause alarm within the citizens of Kenosha. But it doesn’t ! Why is that ?

  9. Sickening & even more so that DCFS didn’t do crap! I’d been taking care of old gramps myself! You’d really need to wear that shirt….disgusting pos!

  10. We need to begin to acknowledge that we have legitimate pieces of shit that will destroy Kenosha if left unchecked. They pretend to want to help the poor and disenfranchised, but in reality they are nothing more than poverty pimps and race hustlers that give two shits about the community. Most are radicalized, liberal democrats, many are public pensions pigs only knowing the government tit, others are multimillionaire white guilt developers and asswipe business owners, many others hold positions in state and local government. All of them are shit bags that need to be held accountable. Pay close attention to these people because they want a war to own your community. They are Anti faith, Anti God, Anti White Christian Male .

    1. And a lot of them aren’t really even democrats, they are simply opportunists who take advantage of stupid people who steal other people’s paychecks and handed out like Halloween candy.

  11. DCFS IS HORRIBLE. They ignore the kids and treat foster parents like shit. That is why they can’t find foster parents anymore. Dcfs ignores what is best for the kids and fails to keep them safe. Ron Roger’s is the absolute worst human!! He is absolutely useless!!!

  12. Ron Rogers is rude and incompetent. His staff are as well. One of the supervisors house was raided for drugs.! Her own children were in the home at the time of the raid. The police were looking for her drug dealing /gang involved boyfriend who subsequently went on the run and was arrested and sent to prison. This supervisor now makes decisions that dictate whether your children will be returned to your care or remain in foster care. There was another supervisor that was convicted of public aid fraud and is now the Kenisha County Gang Supervisor . The Division Manager Pamela Condos previously supervised at a school for children with behavioral problems. She was fired for sleeping with another employee at the school.

Should these people have the fate of your family and children in their hands( what a joke)

The County Executive and the Kenosha County Board need to investigate these people further.
Workers are quitting almost weekly and report that they are being harassed, mistreated and disrespected by other staff including Pamela Condos, who as stated before has a history of sleeping with her coworkers and other criminals in the area. She and Ron Rogers are tue biggest bullies, causing good people to leave including supervisors and staff. Ron Rogers is not addressing any of the this bad behavior because Pamela Is his henchman. The turnover is unreal as previous foster parents we have witnessed it all!! We have been an ear for the staff that work there. And we have tirelessly watched poor children moved from home to home due to DCFS being negligent and incompetent. I hear they have lost so many foster parents children are sleeping on floors at night in their crisis building. There workers are so worn out and mistreated. HR doesnt donanything to help these people. I was told that if they go to HR they ate treated worse by Pamela and Mr. Rogers. These people are not being trained properly as stated above the turnover rate is unreal.

  13. Kevin I understand you feel you are out here doing the people of Kenosha a service by sharing this story. However have you stopped to think what impact this story is going to have on the victim. You have all but identified her. I read about this story in Kenosha news and once I read your slanted and biased account I was able to instantly identify the victim and so will her friends, her classmates and peers. I work with youth and you have no idea how your story is going to negatively impact her. In the future I hope your disdain of someone does not extend to hurting children connected to them in the future. Make no mistake I am not vouching for any of the persons mentioned in the article only advocating for the mental well being of the victim.

    1. I think you and I have a fundamental disagreement here. After being sexually assaulted for over a year, this little girl will never be the same for the rest of her life. I think that her only consolation prize will be having this scumbag locked up for life. If this case wasn’t publicized, Graveley would likely let this guy off with a parking ticket. So publishing the story will help her get justice and some relief. I don’t know what your intentions are here but I suspect they are wicked

      1. I’m well aware of the impact of childhood sexual abuse so don’t you for one second imply my intentions are anything other than above par.
