Captain Justin Miller has been selected to be the Kenosha County Sheriff-Elect’s Chief Deputy. The Chief Deputy, or “Chief” is the highest ranking Deputy second to only the Sheriff. He is the chief disciplinarian and is tasked with carrying out the Sheriff’s vision and running the department’s day-to-day operations. Miller will over-see detentions, patrol, and the administrative divisions.

Miller, the fifth person to hold the title, was hired by KSD in October of 2002. Miller trained to become one of the department’s bomb technicians. He was quickly promoted to Sergeant where he worked midnight shift patrol and later, in conveyance with then-Sergeant Zoerner. He was then promoted to Lieutenant and lead the second shift patrol. This is when he became a hostage negotiator and the Assistant Deputy Director of Emergency Management. In 2016, he was appointed to Captain, running the jails, and then, in his most recent role, the administrative division. He will be working along-side Chief Deputy Marc Levin, who is retiring on February 28, 2023. “Chief Levin has been in my direct chain of command for 20 years. He is extremely intelligent and brings so much to the table. His 32 years of institutional knowledge will be walking out the door next year, but his law-enforcement legacy will live on through his vast and lasting contributions to the department. I wish the best for him in his retirement.” KCE will be profiling Chief Deputy Marc Levin closer to his retirement next year.

Miller and another Captain interviewed with the county’s corporation counsel’s office and human resources. Retiring Sheriff David G. Beth and Sheriff Elect David W. Zoerner both decided that Miller was the guy. “I’m extremely grateful for the Sheriff giving me input on this decision,” said Zoerner. “At the end of the day, we both agreed. I’m excited to work with Justin. He shares my vision of a safer Kenosha County and together, we will accomplish just that.”

I’ve worked with Z for 20 years, and it’s been awesome watching him grow in the the leader he is today.”

Chief Deputy Miller has been married for 17 years to his wife Abbi and has a 16-year-old daughter and a 13-year old son.

Andy Berg, the criminal who has never won a contested election and whose wife just left him because he is a loser, claims that every time somebody on Facebook disagrees with him then it is a fake profile ran by myself. I’m not sure if he’s just trying to rile people up or if he is really that stupid. Maybe both?

  1. This promotion may be the greatest thing since canned beer. However, David the Dare Drug dealer should have allowed the newly elected sheriff the opportunity to make appointments.
