Are you one of the almost 10,000 people who voted for Eric Meadows to represent Kenosha County on the Kenosha Unified School District Board of Education ? If so, you might be upset to learn that the Kenosha Unified School District and their attorneys are set to overturn the results of the spring 2022 election.

According to a source within the district, officials are set to remove Meadows from the school board this upcoming April, two years earlier than what the voters intended. The Wisconsin Elections Commission is one of the motivating forces behind this.

Meadows term was initially set to expire in 2025. Kenosha Unified School District is alleging that they made an error in the 2022 elections due to the resignation of former School Board President Dan Wade.

We reached out to superintendent Dr. Weiss and the district’s communications team and are waiting their response.

KCE has heard from many voters who think that this is a deliberate and underhanded attempt to change the will of the voters. The board will be able to choose Meadow’s replacement this April without an election.

Reached by email Wednesday morning board president Yolanda Adams had the following to say:

“We plan to have the board’s attorney provide the details of what caused this situation at the regular February board meeting. I have high regards for Eric Meadows.   He is an engaged and valuable member of the Board.  The fact we have differing opinions on certain matters does not take away from my opinion of him.  He has served well and I have no doubt he will continue to do so.”

KCE made email contact with KUSD Superintendent Jeffrey Weiss and he indicated that he will not be fighting the Wisconsin Elections Commission and will capitulate to the bureaucratic board.

This is a developing story.

  1. AHHH, so the board doesn’t like Eric and has found a way to get him out and replace him with one of their own choosing? And by ‘the board’ I mean Yolanda, Mary, Rebecca, and Todd P. Sad.

  2. Is there anything we can do as voters who voted for him? If its an elected position, how can they just appoint someone in his place without another election?

    1. Attend the Special Meeting coming up on February 22nd! And share out this information all over social media!!!! & Pray!???

  3. A legitimately elected individual ousted and replaced by an appointee that will be chosen by board members antagonistic to recent pushes by Mr Meadows to de-politicize and de-sexualize the classroom.
Yeah, nothing stinks in the State of Wisconsin.

    1. I’m Phillip Grundberg, I have three kids in KUSD schools, Eric is our only horse in this race who completely represents our opinions, and I posted the comment I am replying to anonymously.
      P.S.
      “No taxation without representation.”

    What was this error?

    1. Will they be identifying, disciplining, and or firing the “person” responsible? Maybe Tanya Ruder can do a press release as to who is culpable.

      1. Just so happens that the person that made the error is on the spring ballot for a school board position.
And this person made two clerical errors not just one.

    2. Yes, can someone please elaborate on the “Error” identified by the state Elections Commission which requires the removal of a duly-elected KUSD Board member ??
      This stinks to high heaven.

And, by the way, to whomever wrote the article:
“Resignment” is not a word in the English language.
“Resignation” is, I believe anyway, the correct word.
Writer must have missed that day of school.

    1. And they are just NOW finding this out? I call BS!!

It’s more like Eric isn’t afraid to speak the truth and is the only member working for the voters and they don’t like anyone questioning what they are doing!!!

Also if they want to save money, why not close all these damn charter schools and let them attend with all the other kids in the regular schools!! That would be a shit load of money saved on electricity, gas, teacher salaries, building maintenance, etc., etc.

The KUSD Board is only in it for themselves! How about these positions being all volunteer??? Then lets see who the real people are that care about our kids and the school system!!

  5. If the board members are able to appoint someone to fill his seat, they should all commit to appointing Meadows. Even if it is true that a technicality is causing a problem, the voters of Kenosha still elected him.

    1. Exactly! We need to redo these stolen elections! Trump won and so did Eric Meadows! These selections, and the corrupt WEC need to go! We The People have spoken.

  6. To Trump: “sorry we can’t fix your election issues and fraud, it’s over”

To Meadows: “hey we made an error… Even though you won a fair election last year, we are removing you because you voted no to a school budget, and helped close a school”

  7. Blatant and disgusting! How would the people attempting this feel if the shoe was on the other foot…I’m not even allowed to type the inflammatory statements they would casually and carelessly throw out!

  8. Blatant and disgusting! How would the people attempting this feel if the shoe was on the other foot…I’m not even allowed to type the inflammatory statements they would casually and carelessly throw out!

  9. Interesting enough I’m sure Kevin could verify this but I believe Tony Garcia was in charge of the elections during the time Eric ran. Funny how now he is also on the Ballot! Huh is that coincidence?! See if you can get a response to that Kenosha Eye?

    1. You’re right; Tony Garcia was the clerk at the time of Eric Meadows’s election and Yolanda was also the president of the board. This is not right!

  10. The question of whether Mr. Meadows was “legitimately elected” and holding office is a matter of law. Everyone involved is doing a disservice by comments that are either vague on one hand or pot shots without the facts on the other. The public deserves to know exactly what happened here and why it’s allegedly illegal.

Wisconsin law has a procedure to remove someone accused of illegally holding office. It’s called “quo warranto” and is a lawsuit that alleges someone is not lawfully holding office. Then all parties will be heard and get their day in court. If they believe Mr. Meadows is holding office illegally and he won’t resign then a “quo warranto” should be filed and the courts will have to decide.

    1. 784.04  When action may be brought.
      (1)  An action may be brought by the attorney general in the name of the state, upon his or her own information or upon the complaint of any private party, against the parties offending in the following cases:
      (a) When any person shall usurp, intrude into or unlawfully hold or exercise any public office, civil or military, or any franchise within this state, or any office in a corporation created by the authority of this state; or
      (b) When any public officer, civil or military, shall have done or suffered an act which, by the provisions of law, shall work a forfeiture of office; or
      (c) When any association or number of persons shall act, within this state, as a corporation without being duly incorporated.
      (2) Such action may be brought in the name of the state by a private person on personal complaint when the attorney general refuses to act or when the office usurped pertains to a county, town, city, village, school district or technical college district.

    2. Mr Meadows is not refusing to vacate. His term would be up in April, according to KUSD, who made the error. Garcia was clerk and posted the announcement that all 3 seats were 3 year terms. Now he’s running??? Nowhere in the law does it say this seat being terminated in august belongs to Meadows. This is fishy at best!

  11. Those who made the mistake should be fired or forced to resign. I’m sure it’s more then just Yo-yo and Tony. I’m sure there are people at ESC that were involved. Interesting how this come up now. When did they “discover the error”.

  12. I sure hope most of the people shooting off their mouths here NEVER get on a jury because they seem to have judged a case without any or all of the evidence. The only apparent guilt now is the lack of transparency of the school board and staff people. Mistake or not, is Eric holding office legally? I mean if the IRS mistakenly sends you a check for a million bucks you don’t get to keep it. Sheesh. Give the people the truth.

  13. Well if Eric shouldn’t have been in office for the last year, then doesn’t that invalidate any and all board work done over the last year?

  14. No public discussion or vote by either WEC or the school Board? Just a bunch of closed-door meeting to remove a duly elected official. Who is running this place, Putin???

  15. Time for everyone to attend the School Board meetings and not allow them to conduct business if they don’t appoint him to the board. The people voted, not the Board! If he is not appointed, then shut them down until the voters voices are heard.
