If you live in the City of Kenosha, you probably received two duplicate tax bills. This was a technical error that occurred at a third party printer that the City of Kenosha contracted, according to Matt Krauter, newly appointed Clerk/Treasurer. He said in a written statement that the taxpayers are not on the hook for the mistake, but the Kenosha County Eye will follow up to make sure this is true. Once the city is invoiced, we will make a public records request and share the cost, which is likely significant.
