Jim Kreuser (D) has been in politics for almost 30 years. He’s a very cunning politician. For example, he just appointed Pete Wicklund, editor of the Kenosha News (D) to the County’s Local Emergency Planning Committee. Giving power to our local rag’s editor almost guarantees immunity to Kreuser and any scandals that strike before he retires. How likely would Wicklund be to give bad press to his new boss?
We reached out to Wicklund and he ignored our communication. His boss is Mark Lewis, The Kenosha News’ publisher. We also reached out to him and he didn’t want to email a statement, but instead wanted to talk on the phone. It’s understandable that they don’t want to talk about the appearance this makes. Politics and the news media have been in bed with each other for many years, it’s no secret – but this one is blatantly obvious.
Bizarrely, Wicklund wasn’t required to list his home address on the application.

Bunch of BS. Making profits off riots and they don’t even write their own crap. Keep posting on rittenhouse trial hoping for issues so they can record. Fuller sentencing tomorrow too.
This is demonstrative of why the Kenosha News is useless as journalist source. The failure of the Kenosha News to serve as a source of investigative journalism is why Kenosha is so corrupt.
I’ve condemned last summer’s tragic riots with one exception; they should have burned The Kenosha News down to the ground. This organization is absolutely worthless and counter productive.
