  1. Very formidable candidate with a glitzy website. Specifics were pretty lean, especially when it comes to improving public safety and economic development. Smart move to announce early.

  2. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss… another part of the machine doing the same Tax and spend …

    1. Unfortunately there’s a big price paid for decades of poor decisions and deferred maintenance. (As the saying goes, “It’s the cheapskate that winds up spending the most.”). The city doesn’t always play well with others. This may also be a good time to look closer at metropolitan cooperation and consolidation. Doesn’t work with everything but right now it’s not much of anything.

  3. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss… another part of the machine doing the same Tax and spend … what about bringing some real business here instead of warehouses I don’t see that happening

    1. Because they tax the heck out of them. That’s why all the businesses are either across the street from Kenosha or in Pleasant Prairie.

      1. You’re incorrect.
Uline has 6 times more real estate in City of Kenosha than Pleasant Prairie. Across from Amazon. Huge tax benefit. Everywhere house is probably 85 million in value.
Remember stormwater bills that help all of us maintain a better environment.
        With very good paying jobs.
By the way warehouses don’t add much to the impact of pollution.

  4. Always got along with him. He is smart and if your going to have government, David is a solid choice. However, no government is the best choice. We are adults, why do we tolerate being told what we can and cannot do by leaders who many turn out to be scum bags. Think about they list of scummy gov leaders? Kinda long right.

  5. Maybe it’s time to reconsider a city manager. Is there a point to a full-time mayor and full-time administrator?

    1. It shows on his website he has lived in Kenosha for 20 years. He may have gone to school in Illinois, but he has lived here a long time.

That’s better than Michelles who ran for Governor against Evers. He only lived in WI 1 more day than necessary to be allowed to be considered a “resident”. I voted for Michells and gave him the benefit of the doubt, but if you are going to be a Governor of the State, that should be where you spend all your time officially living…in that state… not just one “extra” day than necessary.

Dave looks like he’s been around and active in many areas of Kenosha. I’m going to consider him, but I’ll check out the other candidates and do the research to make a more informed decision, as we should all do.

  6. So many people I know and trust in Kenosha have expressed their opinion about David Bogdala. Arrogant, childish, vindictive, egotistical, pathological are all words they have used. Why in Gods name does Kenosha need someone like this in a leadership position, especially as a mayor ? He is far too controversial and has too many people that dislike him in my opinion. He seems to perpetually run with the wrong crowd and if he has this much controversy around him now, how power drunk will he become if he is elected mayor. Perhaps the best thing is for him to run, get elected and sit back and watch him step on his own dick. Doesn’t he already have a decent corporate life at Abbott ? Does he love Kenosha that much, or is he simply another egotistical blowhard simply in love with looking at himself in the mirror in my opinion ? In any event the Kenosha mayoral race shit show always entertains and
never seems to disappoint. Perhaps David Bogdala will ultimately succeed in having democrats, republicans, liberals and conservatives kick him around like a soccer ball because no one seems to know what this chameleon really believes in other than his own ego.
