The Chase Begins in West Allis

According to a criminal complaint, the pursuit started in West Allis on Sunday March 2, 2025, at about 1:30 a.m. when officers attempted to stop a white Chevrolet Tahoe, bearing Illinois license plates, for reckless driving. The vehicle reportedly struck a police squad car before fleeing southbound on Interstate 94 with its lights turned off.

As the pursuit entered Kenosha County, law enforcement deployed a tire deflation device near State Highway 158, but the driver continued speeding westbound on State Highway 50. Deputies reported that speeds exceeded 100 mph as the vehicle swerved dangerously around other motorists, including a van pulling a trailer in a 35 mph zone.

A deputy attempted a precision immobilization technique (PIT) maneuver, causing the vehicle to briefly spin out before the driver regained control and continued the chase. Eventually, the suspect vehicle turned south onto State Highway 83, where one of its tires began to come apart, leaving debris on the roadway.

Chase Ends Near Elementary School, Suspects Flee on Foot

The vehicle finally came to a stop near Salem Elementary School, where two individuals jumped out and fled on foot. Law enforcement officers searched the surrounding area, including nearby apartments, sheds, and garages, but were unable to locate the fleeing suspects.

Police took Edmonds and four other individuals into custody at the scene. The passengers were identified as Anthony Osario, Christian Tapia, Santiago Gutierrez, and Ariel Quintanila.

A search of the vehicle uncovered ammunition, marijuana, and cocaine, according to law enforcement officials. The vehicle was later impounded by West Allis police, who documented the damage and conducted an inventory before towing it from the scene.

Ongoing Investigation

Authorities continue to search for the two unidentified individuals who escaped on foot. Police K9 units and UAV drones were deployed during the search, but no additional arrests have been made.

Edmonds remains in custody in Milwaukee County as officials determine the timeline for his transfer to Kenosha County. If convicted of the charges, he faces significant prison time for his alleged role in the dangerous pursuit.

This remains a developing story.

  1. 10 miles? If it came down the interstate from West Allis and ended in Salem Lakes, it was probably in the 50+ mile range. Just in Kenosha county from the county line, down the interstate to 50, west to 83 and then south to the school is almost 18 miles.

  2. Seven individuals in one vehicle.
    Five apprehended.
    Two ran away.
Into the 2 am darkness in a residential neighborhood. Both east and west of a grade school. (some of my information was reported elsewhere)
Ammunition was found in the vehicle but no guns.

Yet to this day no press release or warning to the local Salem community from the sheriff about two, “possibly” armed individuals could be hiding out in their backyards ?
Information from other sources state that that some if not all were from Illinois. Possibly the two who got away called “friends” to come get them in the early morning darkness and got rides the deputies didn’t see.
I for one am really disappointed that the sheriff’s office didn’t put out a press release, warning or stating that local Salem residents should be diligent about our outdoor areas looking for these two individuals.
Or did they feel that it was just a bunch of young joyriders who messed up and were not dangerous ?
That alone could have been a statement

Please tell me I missed something ??

Every one of those Brave Police officers put himself in situation that can turn in a moment. I’ve seen enough video when things do go wrong, happens in a second. Excellent work by Law enforcement. You can never be too careful, when dealing with drugged up kids that don’t think they have much to lose. We the audience, when we know outcome, everyone here is got balls of steel. The officers want to go home, only takes a second and you can have your life taken. NICE WORK KCS!!!
