    1. It wasn’t her family that reported her missing 2 months late, it was actually KPD resistance and reluctance to do so.

      1. It would be beneficial if our new DA sends his investigator to confirm whether the police department had refused to take the report in the past. It wouldn’t be the first time they do it.

    1. You have to take into consideration that the life she endured, This probably wasn’t uncommon for her? And it doesn’t sound like she had a great family life. Very sad

  1. I reached out to family members to help and they didnt respond and blocked me. None of them were actively looking. Most of them have serious substance abuse problems. When she was last seen she left from her mothers house. Yet the bf nor mom knew who or where she was going. Its aweful that noone cared enough for this young girl. Im sure her family will come out for the wood works now, smh

  2. She had taken off many, many times between June – December. Her family was in constant contact with the police and actively searching for her. People would let her parents know when and where she was seen. They spent many days and nights driving around Racine, Kenosha, and Waukegan looking for her and posting flyers. She would occasionally come home to sleep, eat and ask for money. Then she’d take off again. Each time she would be MIA longer and longer, for a week or more. The parents usually would get a location or a sighting within that time, but they didn’t between the 17th and 22nd so they again went to the police. They had tried to get her the help she needed, but once you turn 18, you can check yourself out of facilities and refuse to go altogether. She was last seen leaving her mothers house and getting picked up by an unknown person. When someone has an addiction and needs to get their fix, they don’t tell their parents who they are taking off with or informs them of where they are going. She was 18 and as such, was considered an adult. If someone tried to stop her when she would take off, she would use any physical means; hitting, kicking, and punching etc, in order to get away. If an adult leaves their house, they have every right to do so. She was cared for and loved very much. She had a very serious addiction problem, wouldn’t admit it, refused getting help and if put in a facility for a health hold, would check out as soon as she could and take off again.
