TWIN LAKES, Wis. — A 31-year-old Twin Lakes woman is facing new felony and misdemeanor charges after police say she was caught speeding, impaired, and in possession of narcotics while out on bond for an earlier felony case.
Brittany E. Hyde appeared in court Monday, where Court Commissioner William Michel II set her bail at $10,000 cash. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 10.
According to the criminal complaint, a Twin Lakes police officer observed Hyde driving southbound on North Lake Avenue at 40 mph in a 25 mph zone. The vehicle was reportedly straddling two lanes before jumping a curb near the BP gas station and stopping near pump 9.
Hyde, who did not have a valid driver’s license, allegedly told the officer she was out on bond and driving fast to get to the hospital because she was having seizures. When asked if she needed an ambulance, she said, “Not right now,” but later changed her mind, prompting a response from Twin Lakes Fire and EMS.
Despite denying recent drug or alcohol use, officers noted Hyde’s slurred speech, glossy and bloodshot eyes, and the odor of intoxicants. After field sobriety tests, officers placed her under arrest for second-offense OWI. During a search, a baggie containing white powder reportedly fell from her person; it later tested positive for both cocaine and fentanyl.
Hyde’s driving privileges were revoked in 2022 due to an alcohol-related offense and are not eligible for reinstatement until 2028. She was also out on bond in a felony case involving elder abuse, where she had signed a condition not to commit any new crimes.
After being taken to Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital for a blood draw, Hyde allegedly resisted re-handcuffing and shouted at the officer, “I hope your whole entire life starts on fire and you lose your whole entire house and your family.” The complaint also notes she screamed repeatedly and lost control of her bladder and bowels while at the hospital.
Hyde now faces five charges: felony bail jumping, possession of fentanyl, possession of cocaine, OWI (2nd offense), and operating while revoked. If convicted on all counts, she could face over 10 years behind bars.

Now that’s someone you would want to take home to meet Mom! Jeez I only hope she doesnt have children. SMH
She has that “everyone’s crazy and I’m innocent look”
Until you walk in someone shoes who are you or we to judge that person it’ seems to me the only person getting hurt is the person being charged seems to me that mandatory drug and alchol therapy would be a start
We are not judging, we are just giving our opinions on the article. Everyone has one!
Except on previous charge of “elder abuse.”
according to what she did in the hospital, alcohol therapy could be a “shart”
Another great legacy of the Biden Presidency-it is now acceptable to urinate and defecate at any occasion, with or without a toilet present, and not incur additional charges.
Thats a really dumb comment!
You have several yourself. It’s what makes this all so interesting…
