SOMERS, Wis. — A 21-year-old Somers man is facing five criminal charges after allegedly assaulting the mother of his child, stealing money from her, and distributing a sexually explicit video of her without consent.
Anthony D. Sims was arrested on June 16, 2025, after Kenosha County sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 hangup call linked to his residence. He appeared in court the following day and was released on a $1,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 25.
According to the criminal complaint, the incident began when Sims picked up the victim, a former romantic partner with whom he shares a child, and drove her to a laundromat on 52nd Street. During the ride, Sims allegedly saw a message from another man on her account and became enraged. The victim told deputies that Sims used a shared phone to send a private video of her performing a sexual act to that man without her permission.
The complaint also alleges that Sims dragged the victim from the car by her legs, ripping her pants and causing injuries to her head, legs, and arm. He then drove away, leaving her at the scene. Later, the victim provided deputies with a statement and showed evidence of a $50 CashApp transaction she claimed Sims made without her consent.
When questioned by deputies, Sims admitted to pulling the victim from the car and sending the explicit video, though he claimed he had her consent. He also acknowledged that he may have caused the damage to her clothing.
Sims is charged with:
- Distributing an intimate representation without consent (Class I felony)
- Battery (domestic abuse)
- Criminal damage to property (domestic abuse)
- Misdemeanor theft
- Disorderly conduct (domestic abuse)
.
If convicted of all charges, Sims faces several years in prison and thousands in fines. All charges include domestic abuse enhancers, which carry additional penalties.
