SALEM LAKES, Wis. — A 32-year-old Kenosha man with a prior heroin conviction is facing five new criminal charges after sheriff’s deputies allegedly found him with a loaded handgun, a switchblade knife, and suspected narcotics during a traffic stop Saturday evening in Salem Lakes.
Ian C. Glover was formally charged Monday in Kenosha County Circuit Court with possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a concealed knife, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor bail jumping. Court Commissioner William Michel II set cash bail at $10,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 18.
According to the criminal complaint, deputies stopped a gray Mazda 3 around 5:19 p.m. Saturday on County Highway C. The driver, Trenton E. Cole, was arrested on a felony warrant and revoked license. Glover, the passenger, identified himself and was asked to step out of the vehicle.
Deputies observed a clear orange baggie containing a crystal-like substance on Glover’s seat and an empty box of Narcan on the floorboard. A search of a black satchel Glover had just removed reportedly revealed a loaded Glock 48 with a round in the chamber, an extra magazine, a holster, and two Narcan units. Deputies say they also found a socket with compacted wire — commonly used to ingest drugs — under the passenger-side floor mat.
Glover was further found to have an edged weapon — a Schrade switchblade — in his cargo pocket. He claimed to have taken the knife from a man named Marcus after being attacked earlier that day in Kenosha.
A records check confirmed Glover is a convicted felon due to a 2016 heroin distribution conviction in Kenosha County. He also had an active arrest warrant and was out on bond in a separate misdemeanor drug and OWI case from April. That bond included a condition that he not commit any new crimes.
The suspected drugs were not conclusively identified through field testing. Deputies noted insufficient material for chemical confirmation.
If convicted on all counts, Glover faces over 11 years behind bars.

Mr. Glover had quite the eventful day.
Further review’s on the Schrade auto knife would have been insightful and appreciated. MicroTech would be my choice of auto knives.
Possibly after Mr. Glover has had an encounter with DA Solis perhaps in 20 or 30 years he’d pick one up for himself. He’d love it. Take my word.
Given how the Kenosha County judicial system operates, he will be far more likely to receive 20 or 30 months, not years.
