PADDOCK LAKE, Wis. – A 21-year-old Paddock Lake man is facing serious felony charges after authorities say he uploaded and stored disturbing images and videos of child sexual abuse—including both real and animated depictions—on his devices and social media accounts.

Nathan Bernard Fox was formally charged Thursday in Kenosha County Circuit Court with one count of possession of child pornography and two counts of possession of virtual child pornography. All three charges are Class D felonies, each carrying a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.
Court Commissioner William Michel II set Fox’s cash bail at $100,000. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 17.
According to the criminal complaint, the investigation began in October 2024 when Discord reported a user suspected of sharing child sexual abuse material. The report was forwarded to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), which in turn alerted the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office.
Detective Jeffrey Moro reviewed the video in question and described it as a 15-second clip depicting an adult male sexually assaulting a young child. The video included graphic text glorifying child rape and was labeled with phrases promoting pedophilia. Investigators say the material had been uploaded multiple times to a Discord account using the handle “bigqwq” and an associated email address, which was traced to Fox’s home on 68th Street in the Village of Paddock Lake.
A search warrant for the Discord and Gmail accounts led to the discovery of additional images and videos, including anime-style pornography showing prepubescent children in explicit sexual scenarios. Detectives said the obscene content was stored in folders labeled “attachments” and had been shared repeatedly.
On July 10, detectives interviewed Fox, who initially denied knowledge of the Discord account but eventually admitted the handle “bigqwq” was his. According to the complaint, Fox appeared nervous during the interview—his hands were shaking, and his voice trembled. He told officers he started looking at such content in middle school and became drawn to “Loli” porn, a form of animated child exploitation commonly associated with Japanese anime.
Fox acknowledged seeing the video flagged in the Cyber Tip and admitted to sharing it “once or twice.” He allowed detectives to search his phone, where they found additional incriminating material, including a Twitter message in which he used the term “grape”—a slang term often used online in place of “rape” to evade moderation.
Wisconsin law requires a mandatory minimum sentence of three years of initial confinement for convictions related to possession of child pornography. The court is also required to impose a $500 surcharge for each image, determined by a preponderance of the evidence.
Fox remains in custody at the Kenosha County Jail.
