KENOSHA, Wis. — The Kenosha Police Department will host its inaugural Community Day and Movie Night on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Tremper High School, offering a full day of free family activities and public safety outreach.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the school’s campus at 8560 26th Ave., and will be followed by an outdoor showing of the Dog Man movie. Admission, parking, and the movie are all free to the public.
Organizers say the goal is to strengthen connections between residents and local first responders.
Families will have the chance to explore a “Touch-a-Truck” zone featuring squad cars, SWAT vehicles, drones, and more. KPD officers will lead kids’ games and host bounce houses, while live police demonstrations will take place throughout the day.
Several food vendors will be on-site with meals and treats available for purchase, including Fry Daddy’s, Kona Ice, Aragon Taco Truck, The Peach Cobbler Factory, Cut Stone Sweet Corner Ice Cream, and Summer Moon.
Other attractions include raffles, giveaways, and free swag, as well as resource tables hosted by local organizations.
Kenosha police describe the event as both a celebration and a public service initiative.
“This is about building trust and transparency while having fun as a community,” one official said.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for the movie. The event is open to all ages and fully accessible.
