KENOSHA, Wis. – The Kenosha Hometown Heroes Commission is now accepting nominations for the third quarter of 2025, inviting the public to recognize individuals who exemplify both military service and community dedication.
To be eligible, nominees must have served—or currently be serving—in the United States Armed Forces. They must also have a strong connection to the City of Kenosha, either by birth, current residency, or by having lived in the city for at least 10 years at any time in their life.
Nominees will be evaluated based on their military background, including tours of duty, specialized training, service duration, and awards or decorations. Community service—such as civic involvement, volunteerism, or contributions to veterans’ organizations—will also be heavily weighed.
One honoree is selected each quarter and will receive a Certificate of Recognition from the mayor. All quarterly honorees will be considered for the annual Kenosha Hometown Hero Award.
Nomination forms can be obtained by calling 262-653-4000 or online at www.kenosha.org. The deadline for third-quarter nominations is August 29, 2025.
