KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. — The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department has completed another upgrade to its public inmate inquiry website, giving residents and media outlets even greater access to booking photos.
Until now, the site only displayed small, low-quality thumbnail images when users searched for an inmate. With the latest update, clicking the thumbnail now reveals a full-resolution, full-size booking photo — the same quality available internally to deputies and staff.
Chief Deputy Justin Miller authorized the change, emphasizing that it was driven by transparency and efficiency. The Sheriff’s Department receives frequent requests for mugshots from the media, neighboring law enforcement agencies, and the public. By making high-quality booking photos readily available online, those requests can now be met instantly without staff intervention.
Miller assigned Captain Tony Gonzalez and Lieutenant Bryan Easter to oversee the project. Working closely with the county’s IT team, they spent several weeks developing the system before launching it this week.
The update builds on the 2021 enhancement that first introduced mugshots to the county’s jail roster. With the new full-size photo access, Kenosha County now offers one of the most open and user-friendly inmate lookup systems in Wisconsin.
Residents and media can see the changes firsthand by visiting the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department Inmate Inquiry page. Kenosha County Jail Inamte Search
