SALEM LAKES, Wis. — Ashley L. Nolder, 35, of Burlington, was charged Tuesday in a deadly September crash that killed motorcyclist Angelina Christina Principato, 49, and now faces more than 75 years in prison if convicted. Prosecutors allege Nolder was driving with a blood alcohol concentration of .211—more than two-and-a-half times the legal limit—while her two 9-year-old children were in the vehicle when the fatal collision occurred, according to a newly filed criminal complaint.

Principato, known to friends and family as “Angel,” was a Twin Lakes woman who worked for years as a bartender before building a career in interior design and sales management. She was a mother and grandmother who “loved her daughters and grandkids more than anything,” and was known for her outgoing personality, love of concerts, travel, and riding her Harley motorcycle.

Wow…what a sad story that will ultimately affect many lives. Those poor children!
What a piece of shit
HOW, how does this happen? How does a SERIOUSLY IMPAIRED driver, who KILLS someone, NOT get charged for 7 months!?!?!? WHAT is going on with the DUI’S in this county???
wait for all evidence and proper charges.
Another “could face” up to 75 years. It ain’t right, real crime goes unpunished.
Kenosha has so much reckless driving and so many annual road deaths. It’s crickets from the sheriff. I’m not saying that this could definitely have been avoided with better traffic enforcement— but, maybe? Just maybe, if the deputies on duty were doing some kind of patrolling and enforcement of safe driving laws…
… this is exactly why I drive a huge, gas-hogging tank of a vehicle.
Yes, it costs more for gas ….. but the “insurance” is worth it.
Same. Diesel, not gas, but about the only things that would take me out would be a semi, a train, or an airplane.
Sheriff’s Department needs to start doing some sort of traffic enforcement. It’s laughable at this point. The department, the sheriff, the county exec— all a big joke. Decker and her back the badge? Also a joke.
It doesn’t matter how many people you put on staff to control the roads. Drunk driving is going to happen. Not one law seems to make a difference to people who drive drunk. They will be stupid and do it anyway.
Same with gun laws. It doesn’t matter how many laws you put into place. People are going to find a way to use a gun if they want to…illegally.
People’s hearts need to change.
No amount of people and no amount of laws seem to make any difference in controlling the stupidity people have.
It’s so sad for the kids.
You can’t prevent it, right. But— a crackdown on reckless driving could at least put some of these jagbags behind bars, even temporarily. A crackdown on speeding and reckless driving would prevent many road deaths.
Several years ago, the Rizzo family lost family members because of a drunk driver speeding through Paddock Lake. Nearly EVERYONE speeds through Paddock Lake, and yet rarely do I see KCSO actually doing any enforcement.
The Sheriff’s department MUST step up their game— lives are at stake.
