Jail records indicate three people were arrested during the operation and are expected to formally face charges this week. The arrests appear to stem from an investigation involving allegations of drug trafficking activity.
One of those taken into custody was Frank W. McClaughry Jr., 40, of Trevor. Records indicate investigators are recommending numerous charges against McClaughry, including maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession with intent to deliver amphetamine or methamphetamine between 10 and 50 grams, multiple felony bail jumping allegations, possession of burglarious tools, theft of mail, methamphetamine possession, drug paraphernalia allegations and allegations involving misuse of identifying information to obtain money.
Authorities also arrested Tammy Faye Wilton, 54, of Trevor. Recommended charges listed in jail records include maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession with intent to deliver amphetamine or methamphetamine between three and 10 grams and possession of methamphetamine-related drug paraphernalia.
A third arrest involved Thomas Donald Wilton Jr., 50, of Trevor. Jail records indicate recommended charges include maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession with intent to deliver amphetamine or methamphetamine between three and 10 grams, and possession of methamphetamine.
The investigation appeared to involve multiple agencies and specialized personnel, which likely explains the visible law-enforcement presence residents reported seeing throughout the area Tuesday.
As of Tuesday evening, formal criminal complaints had not yet been filed in Kenosha County Circuit Court, though the three individuals are expected to be charged later this week. Arrest charges and jail booking information are preliminary and may differ from the final charges ultimately filed by prosecutors.
If criminal complaints are filed, Kenosha County Eye will provide updates on the allegations and court proceedings.
