Kenosha County Court Commissioner William Michel II raised her bail to $50,000, keeping her in the jail.

The woman was allegedly caught by the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department allegedly transporting $81,000 of THC vape cartridges. Ashley J. Bermudez, 27, of Chicago, IL, a convicted felon was previously convicted of drug dealing in Cook County in 2017. According to the criminal complaint, Bermudez was driving on Highway 50 in Salem Lakes. A Kenosha County Sheriff’s Deputy clocked Bermudez driving 71mph in a 55mph zone, so he pulled her over.

Bermudez was the only occupant of the vehicle and told the deputy she was driving “to a friend’s house.” The deputy could smell a strong odor of raw marijuana. He asked Bermudez when the last time she smoked marijuana was and she told him “like yesterday.” Bermudez readily admitted to the deputy that she had drugs in the car.

A total of 2700-1000mg (2700g) THC labeled vape cartridges were seized and placed into evidence, along with a miscellaneous amount of THC in smaller quantities and different forms. The Kenosha DA’s Office was advised by the Sheriff’s Department that the value of the vape cartridges carries a street value of $81,000 and this amount of vape cartridges is more than personal use, but rather consistent with being in route to deliver due to the sheer quantity and street value. Also, the companies [In Illinois] will not sell the above amount in bulk unless it goes a dispensary.

“Yes, we know marijuana/THC can legally be bought in Illinois but we are not in Illinois,” the Sheriff’s Department said in a Facebook post.

    1. They didn’t even have that much. Ans clearly you don’t know them, because one of them isn’t even in the area anymore.

    1. Legalize it and you’ll mostly eliminate the black market. But then the LE agencies would lose out on a major influx of income.

    2. … and blabbing on the jail phone that she’s going to run. She’s not new to the system. She should know jail calls are recorded and listened to. Then again, if she were smart, she wouldn’t be out committing felonies.

  1. Yet the Huffhines had bail amount over 100k and 500k. What a joke. They give her 25k because she’s a poc, and we don’t want to hurt their feelings?

  2. She should get prison time on a 2nd offense of dealing! Get a f’n real job! I’m a former smoker and that’s one thing but selling is a whole different category smh!

  3. Seems a bail amount should at least be higher than the amount of stuff you were caught with, shows the kind of money available to let you run away. Let’s at least start out with an $81k bail amount.

  4. Kenosha is only interested on outsiders getting a slice of the hometown pie…..big pie all the way downtown. What happened with those fenti overdoses ???? 5 dead in a week. Hummm. GSA and DHS and their network being exposed, shared and abused!!!

From By Burger, wooden nickle, lux, 1426, 1412, 6114, 6226….and the traveling WOODSMAN.. …. WHATS “HAPPENING”. KPD SES AND KCS SES

    Jan 10 2023?

I KNOW ABOUT THE REAL KENOSHA…. EYE

  5. Well, they upped it to $50k, but her drug syndicate family posted it all. She’s officially “on the run” now.

    Still the dumbest courier ever…

  6. Yup, the old line from LE we’re not Illinois. Coulda fooled me. But….. The state legislature would rather fentanyl laced weed fill the bowls of young Wisconsin high schoolers and adults in Kenosha County rather than legalizing it like every other sane state has. But, but, but….. Fentanyl!!!!!
