The results are in and Commissioner Heather Iverson has been elected to Kenosha County Circuit Court’s third branch. Tears of joy fell to the ground as Iverson celebrated with her husband, children, friends and family at Ruffalos 2.
Judge-Elect Iverson spoke briefly with KCE Tuesday night. “I want to say thank you to everyone who voted for me in this election. I am filled with gratitude for your support. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all those who supported my campaign and believed in my ability to serve our community with fairness and honesty. Your support means the world to me. I also want to thank my family, especially my husband and children for always showing their support and love and for being my biggest cheerleaders. I thank my campaign team who worked so hard on my behalf, and remained vigilant to our message of honesty, fair play, and commitment to the public safety of Kenosha. I also thank the many people in organizations who had faith in me and endorsed me for this very important position.”
Iverson faced off against west-end civil attorney Frank Gagliardi. While Gagliardi couldn’t be reached, Iverson told KCE “I wish Frank Gagliardi and his family the very best.” Gagliardi was appointed by Governor Tony Evers (D) in November. Iverson did not apply for the position from the Governor, saying at a recent debate, “I announced this decision [to run for judge] to the public, the voters, and the residents of Kenosha County. I did not seek out an appointment from the governor four short months ago because I have served the people of Kenosha County my entire career, and the people of Kenosha County should decide who the next circuit court judge for Branch 3 should be. It should not be unilaterally decided by a politician or by outside special interest groups.”
“As I get ready to start my new role as Circuit Court Judge, I am committed to being fair and impartial in all my decisions and working toward the highest good for Kenosha County,” Iverson told KCE. “Thank you to everyone who voted for me. I’m honored to be your Circuit Court Judge Branch 3.”
Iverson will succeed Bruce E. Schroeder.

Between Racine and Kenosha judge races, a bad night for Governor Low T’s appointments.
I want to some thing about Heather lverson
Iverson is a class act and was the clear choice! Glad Kenosha County said NO to another Evers appointee. Bye-bye Frankie
Thank heavens the entire primary was not lost to liberal losers. Great job Heather
The Frank loss is going to demote all Beth endorsements hence forth..At least Frank can say he was a judge for 4 months on his litany of accomplishments next time he runs.
The Beth endorsement is a kiss of death . Also bitch slap to Evers
Beth? As in Dave Beth? No one can stand the guy anymore. Ray Rowe found out the hard way that taking his endorsement was a bad idea
Frank may have been more qualified, but one look at some of the people who endorsed him and the governor who decided he was what we needed tells me a lot more. On top of that, if you’ve got someone who probably is more likely to play games with no/low bail and other revolving door things, being more qualified can just make you more destructive. Hopefully, Heather will step up her game and address some of the concerns others have commented on regarding her work ethic and workload.
How was a guy with no criminal law experience more qualified?
Did you pay attention to their debate at Casa Capri? And I said, “may”.
good judges are students of the law. They live it, breathe it, they take personal beliefs out of their decision making process. Iverson was a clear better choice, and should serve us fairly.
She has ruined many families and family court. She doesn’t get the full story in Family Court and she pulls families apart and crucifies those and doesn’t understand the full story. She doesn’t need to be in a judge just yet, but I guess everybody thought she is entitled to she is not seasoned enough to be a judge.
She is the worst judge in kenosha she needs to do something about these slum landlords that she tries to protect never wanna hear nothing just rules in their favor bad decision
