Jamill E. Sanders, 36, of Racine, was allowed to resign from the Kenosha Unified School District on May 13, 2022 as an “Educational Support Professional.” While he resigned, he was under investigation from the Kenosha Unified School District for alleged sexual misconduct.

He was allowed to resign by KUSD’s HR Director Kevin Neir and William Haithcock, Chief of School Leadership. The district didn’t designate the resignation as “resignation during investigation” or “resignation in lieu of termination” – simply “resignation.”

Neir wrote in a March 24, 2022, email “You’re being placed on paid administrative leave effective Friday, March 25th, 2022. While on paid administrative leave, an investigation will commence which will review the events that happened on March 22nd, 2022 while you were monitoring in-school suspension.”

According to Sanders’ personnel file, he was hired in August, 2021, as a security guard at Indian trail. On Thursday, May 24th, 2022, there was a report from school staff that Sanders was alleged to have touched a student on her face and neck making her feel uncomfortable. The young girl described the incident happening at an in-school suspension that she received due to skipping class. Mr Sanders asked the girl about a recent break up with her boyfriend. He then reached over with his hand and rubbed her right cheek. He also touched the back of her neck.

When asked by school staff about the alleged incident, he said he never touched anybody.  School staff then received another complaint about an inappropriate conversation he had with a different student. The allegation was that he spoke to the female student about having sex with other students and Mr. Sanders made comments about a student’s breasts.

When asked about the second allegation, again, Sanders denied any wrongdoing. The second young girl was interviewed and she said that Mr Sanders would ask her about cheerleading and what her race was. He also asked her if her parents were still together.

Mr Sanders made a comment about what color panties the student was wearing and said “you and your pink underwear, come here.”

The girl said that he flirted with many students. She said Mr. Sanders would also ask students what their sexual preferences were. He also asked girls what type of sexual history they have and asked one girl “yeah, you’re going to fuck him?”

Another girl stated that Mr Sanders was looking at her breasts during the winter formal and it “was creepy.” Video footage pulled up by school staff seem to cooborate the girls’ stories. KUSD recommended that Mr. Sanders receives disciplinary action, including his termination as a security guard and basketball coach.

Instead, as is customary and the policy of KUSD, they allowed him to resign. This lead the Sanders getting a job working for 21st Century Preparatory School in Racine. That is where police and prosecutors say he sexually assaulted two juvenile students.

Jamill E. Sanders (36) of Racine
(Racine County Sheriff)

Sanders was charged on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, with “Second Degree Sexual Assault Of A Child Under 16 Years Of Age” and “Repeated Sexual Assault Of A Child”, both felonies that carry with them maximum sentences of 40 years in prison each.

Criminal Complaint
(Racine County Clerk of Courts)

According to the criminal complaint, Sanders sexually assaulted at least two girls one, 12, and the other, 14. Both girls are students at 21st Century Preparatory School in Racine. Sanders works at the school as a “Behavioral Interventionist.” Not only did Sanders grab and fondle the girls’ privates, but he also made sexual comments.

Sanders appeared in court on Tuesday, May 22, 2024 and was released on a $10,000 cash bail on May 22, 2024. The commissioner also ordered Sanders not have any contact with minors other than his own children, and not be employed by any schools.

We asked KUSD Superintendent Jeff Weiss if he felt bad about letting Sanders resign so he could get another job at a different school. We asked if he felt responsible for the alleged sexual assault. He didn’t respond.

If you had a student at Indian Trail High School that reports any inappropriate touching while Sanders was employed by KUSD, please call Kenosha Police at 262-656-1234.

  1. A story about a KUSD employee who “was resigned” seems no longer news! But I wanted to know more because my first impression is why the Hell would Racine Unified hire a guy who suddenly “resigned” a job in Kenosha. So I decided to check out this school and, surprise, it isn’t a RUSD school. Instead, here’s what the school’s website says:

“The 21st Century Preparatory School, a 4K-8 independent public charter school, opened in fall 2002 through authorization from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents. The charter is held by Racine Charter One, Inc., a Wisconsin 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation whose nine-member board of directors, including an ex-officio representative of the UW-Parkside Chancellor, oversees school operation. The school is administered by a three-member leadership team led by the school’s Executive Director.”

So, UW-Parkside, not RUSD, has something to say about this school.

And the question remains, why the Hell would a school hire a guy who abruptly “resigned” from another school? Did they check with KUSD? If so, what did KUSD tell them? Did KUSD give a good recommendation?

You can’t prevent someone from quitting their job but even there are a shitload of unanswered questions here.

    1. Any job application only sees how long he was employed at each employer listed, if he even listed KUSD. They can’t tell that he resigned!! The school only knows what was put on that application!!

      1. I’ve done dozens and dozens of background checks. You don’t accept what someone says on an application without checking.

  2. I mean, at this point, KUSD should be deemed bad for our children’s health.
The lack of kusd’s concern for our children’s safety is so low that now it looks like they WANT to harm them on purpose.

It is time to get rid of the administrative bureaucrats who OBVIOUSLY do not care about our kids.

Teachers, speak up! Where are the whistleblowers?

    25
    2
  3. The KUSD Board is primarily composed of liberals who don’t take the protection of our children seriously and continue to brush these things under the carpet. Until these liberal lunatics are removed from office, KUSD will continue to be a detriment to our children and our community.

  4. This is getting ridiculous. Why are these people not being investigated and held accountable for their failures. Totally unacceptable!!!! Mr Neir and Weiss need to be out of a job, as well as many more.

    1. The bad part is even when the administrators are let go, they receive a fortune in severance pay. There should be no severance pay.

      14

    2. The only way to solve this is to replace the whole board. This website has the only comprehensive reporting of all things bad going on in this school district. Sad but true.

Start talking to your friends and neighbors. Tell them to read these stories. Introduce them to KCE. Talk to them about getting informed and ask them if they vote.

      Recruit smart people to run.

It’s up to all of us to spread the word and educate those that are uninformed and don’t appreciate the gravity of what’s going on. It will take a few years to cycle through but we have to start somewhere.

  5. We had 20 percent turnout in the last school board election. It’s time for conservatives to get off their bottoms, get out and vote so we can elect conservatives who will look out for the children.

    16

  6. KUSD is a liberal swamp that can’t fulfill its most important duty which is keeping our kids safe! There’s no remorse, no embarrassment, and no accountability. The money is just too good for these swamp creatures to slither away.
Thank you KCE for your tireless investigative work! Without you, none of us would have a clue how inept KUSD actually is.
To all the great KUSD teachers and staff, keep up the good work. It’s unlikely the pompous administration will step down, but keep doing your part and report any and all nefarious acts that may harm our kids.

  7. This is happening far too often. Weiss does nothing but cover up for pedophiles . Weiss is complicit and needs to go to prison for enabling these filthy predators to continue harming children

  8. Yes, Liberalism is a disease and is, rampant in the school systems throughout our nation, which leads to these adults thinking that children are their playthings . Until the teachers unions and administrators take a stronger approach to ridding themselves of these perverts, and being vocal about doing it, this behavior will continue…. Sick F—ks !

    1. U r right …. It’s partially cuz we work like slave dogs tho—- no time to be “ COMMUNITY ACTIVISTS “ 😒

  9. All I am going to say is… check with RUSD and fins out why he wasn’t working there anymore. He worked at McKinley MS (before Walden moved into that building), he worked at Starbuck MS and due to the same kind of complaints, was moved from Starbuck to another school. During the 2017- 2018 school year and while working at McKinley, he encouraged two girls to get into a fight and the girl’s mother went to the news. He was removed from RUSD because the teachers complained and made the district aware that he would have female students in his office and have the door closed. The RUSD teachers documented and protected the students from him and the teachers were successful in having him removed. Which probably saved many females from his disgusting actions.

      1. I’m not sure why you’re impersonating me, or feel the need to copy my username, but I suspect that you must feel threatened by my comments in the other thread. Why else would you feel the need to copy my name?

          1. Again, I’m not sure why would feel the need to copy my name. I would suggest you stop pretending to be me, and this all will end. It’s not complicated. Be yourself. Stop being fake. In every aspect of your life.

          2. Again, I’m not sure why would feel the need to copy my name. I would suggest you stop pretending to be me, and this all will end. It’s not complicated. Be yourself. Stop being fake. In every aspect of your life.

EDIT: Forgot to add my Name lol

              1. I’m starting to think this is thee Kevin himself. Who else would take the time? The only other candidate is Straight White Male in my opinion. Better hope the identities of users is never exposed. I would not mind, as I stand behind what I’ve said, (the real) Evidence Over Everything. Just in case there’s any future discrepancies, I’ve screenshoted everything too.

  10. If you want more of this vulgar behavior; trans story hour, filthy books in KUSD libraries, grooming and the like. Vote for Harris. She’ll nominate one of RuPaul’s guests as Secretary of Education.
