KENOSHA, Wis. – A 27-year-old Kenosha woman is facing five criminal charges—including two felony counts—after allegedly fleeing a hit-and-run crash while intoxicated and later threatening to harm two police officers and their families.
Alexandria Lynne Turner made her initial appearance in Kenosha County Circuit Court on Monday afternoon, where she was charged with two counts of threat to a law enforcement officer or their family member, along with resisting an officer, hit and run to an attended vehicle, and disorderly conduct. A $5,000 cash bail was set today. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for later this month.
According to a criminal complaint, Turner was involved in a collision near 24th Avenue and 67th Street on June 6. Witnesses said she fled the scene after her green Toyota Corolla struck the rear passenger side of another vehicle. Police say they found Turner nearby, stumbling and smelling strongly of alcohol.
While being taken to the hospital for a court-ordered blood draw, Turner allegedly tried to bribe Officer Van Pamel to let her go, resisted getting out of the squad car, and caused a disturbance in the emergency room by screaming, swearing, and threatening hospital staff. She also reportedly tried to slip her handcuffs and told Officer Lyons, “Do you want to get kicked in the face?” before threatening his children, saying, “I hope you have kids, and I hope they fucking die.”
Both threats to law enforcement personnel and their family members are Class H felonies, each carrying a maximum penalty of six years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The resisting charge is a Class A misdemeanor, while the hit-and-run and disorderly conduct charges are lesser misdemeanors punishable by up to six months and 90 days, respectively.
Turner denied driving the car and claimed the vehicle was not registered to her, though police confirmed the registration matched her name. Officers say she was wearing glasses and matched the description of the woman seen fleeing the crash.
If convicted on all counts, Turner faces up to 13 years in prison and more than $22,000 in fines.
