KENOSHA, Wis. — A growing rebellion inside Journey Church has escalated into an extraordinary battle for control of one of Kenosha's prominent churches, with 162 members signing a formal demand to vote on removing all seven members of its Board of Deacons following controversial leadership decisions, the firing of longtime Executive Pastor Jon Brown and mounting concerns over church finances, transparency and accountability. The seven elected board members — Don Daniels, Bryan Drummond, Michelle Erzberger, Sly Marinca, James Mathews, Frank Porcaro and Wil Siewert — have not agreed to place the requested removal votes on the agenda for a church meeting scheduled for Sunday, October 11, 2026. Members now say they are exercising their rights under Wisconsin law to convene their own special meeting on October 25, where they intend to vote on removing individual deacons and electing replacements. The dispute follows more than two years of controversy surrounding Journey Church, including criminal allegations against former pastor Gabriel Mills for stealing nude photos of members and questions about former Lead Pastor Kevin Taylor's handling of that investigation.

Satan is smiling, the sins are many.
I hope the church goes out of business
So sad, how embarrassing for this church to have to air their dirty laundry to the public. I hope they can get the truth out of what is really going on behind closed doors. The parishioners have a right to know. This sure hurts the cause for Christ. Satan loves this division. I pray that the church may resolve the issue and heal.
