Stephon Hawthorne (35) of Kenosha

A $1 million arrest warrant was signed for 35-year-old Stephon K. Hawthorne, of Kenosha, for a homicide that occurred on October 13, 2022, near the intersection of 24th Av and 63rd St. Police and prosecutors say that Hawthorne gunned down 40-year-old Carl Vines, Jr. Both men are convicted felons with violent criminal records.

Hawthorne should in fact, have be in prison. Hawthorne has an open felony case for fleeing and eluding officers where he was out on a $2,500 cash bond. He was also charged in 2017 with seven serious charges including being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession with intent to distribute cocaine (second offense). Incredibly, Kenosha DA Mike Graveley’s progressive office dismissed the two felonies and let him plead guilty to only two misdemeanors. Hawthorne received only two years of probation. He could have been sentenced to about 20 years in prison had it not been for the overly-generous plea deal.

Kristen Quinonez (32) of Kenosha

A 32-year-old Kenosha woman, Kristen Quinonez, was charged with harboring or aiding a felon because of her involvement in this investigation. According to the criminal complaint, she told one of the first responding officers “no, no it wasn’t him (talking about Hawthorne), he ran down there.” Because of this, police didn’t arrest Hawthorne who was still on the scene of the shooting. Quinonez helped throw police of his scent and Hawthorne got away. She was also charged with two counts of felony bail jumping. She was in court on October 14, 2022, and given a $25,000 cash bail. She is still in police custody.

  1. It is so nice to see these polite, respectful, God fearing ,hard working ,law abiding citizens call Kenosha home. We are a progressive, forward thinking community that does not tolerate bigotry and hate. All are welcome here with open arms. The city council along with Kenosha leadership needs to purchase every home for sale in Allendale especially with the liberal yard signs,to house these folks so that they can integrate properly into our community. I am positive that the biggest WHEDA/multifamily housing multi millionaire developer in Kenosha will lead this charge. No one needs to hang out any longer in the uptown in front of the Open Pantry. The new gathering place should be the Kemper Center, or Eichelman Park at the lakefront around the civil war cannon. Keep hope alive baby…….yes we can.

  2. Maybe the Mills can convert the Southport Beach House into tax payer funded low income housing for the Allendale progressives.

The Beach House does have a porch!

  3. When I get hungry in the Obiden depression I know which houses are self defense and testosterone free zones.
    Everyone make a list ?

  4. Keep stephon n especially out ur fucking mouth birch! A life u never know about. N fuck kenosha they claim n act like hitters but the re not a witness helped tell on him. N thts against street code.
