Investigation and Findings

The arrests stemmed from cybercrime investigations that uncovered illegal content linked to the suspects’ online accounts. The content included young children engaged in sex acts with adults.

Authorities say Bollow’s case began in November 2024 when police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Investigators traced suspicious activity on a messaging app back to Bollow’s residence. A search of his electronic devices led to the discovery of numerous illegal files, resulting in his arrest.

In Griffiths’ case, investigators were alerted in December 2024 when Dropbox, an online storage service, flagged illegal content uploads. A forensic review of Griffiths’ online history reportedly revealed his involvement in distributing explicit material. Law enforcement later confirmed his direct link to the account and obtained a search warrant for his residence.

Authorities also noted that both suspects had an interest in explicit “furry” content, a subculture that involves anthropomorphic animal characters, as well as bestiality pornography. However, bestiality content was not part of the formal charges in this case.

Kenosha Police Electronic Storage Detection K9 Iris

During the execution of the search warrants, Kenosha K9 Iris, an electronic storage detection dog, were present during the search warrant executions to aid with finding hidden electronic evidence. Her handler, Kenosha Police Detective Deates, assisted in locating data stored on the suspects’ devices, which provided crucial evidence in the investigation.

Katie Hall – Chief, Twin Lakes Police Department

Statement from Twin Lakes Police

Chief Katie Hall of the Twin Lakes Police Department commended investigators for their diligent work, emphasizing the importance of protecting children from online predators.

“There is no higher priority than the safety of our children. Our officers, in partnership with the ICAC Task Force, work tirelessly to ensure that those who exploit children are held accountable. We remain dedicated to seeking justice for victims and creating a safer community for all.”

The department credited the ICAC Task Force, Kenosha Police Department’s K9 Iris, and her handler, Detective Deates for their assistance in the investigation.

Legal Proceedings

Both suspects remain in custody as the investigation continues.

Community Impact and Safety Measures

This case serves as a reminder of the dangers posed by online exploitation. Law enforcement agencies encourage parents and guardians to monitor children’s internet activity and report any suspicious behavior to authorities or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) at www.missingkids.org or 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).
