KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. – Four people were charged Tuesday and Wednesday in Kenosha County Circuit Court with crimes ranging from felony bail jumping to drunk driving and domestic abuse. Here’s a breakdown of the cases:
Kathryn Brayer, 49, of Twin Lakes, is facing four charges — including felony victim intimidation — after police say she attacked her boyfriend while drunk on May 7. He told officers she bit his fingers, punched him in the head, and smashed his phone. Officers found Brayer intoxicated and barely coherent. She has a prior felony conviction for elder abuse.
Maximum penalty: Over 16 years in prison.
Sondra Fleger, 45, of Kenosha, is charged with two felonies after crashing into another driver in Paddock Lake while intoxicated on May 6. Her blood alcohol concentration was three times the legal limit. The victim was hospitalized with back injuries. Fleger admitted to drinking four or five “Buzzballz” and told deputies she knew she would fail sobriety tests.
Maximum penalty: 12 years in prison.
Christopher Brooks, 46, of Kenosha, was charged with three new counts of felony bail jumping for allegedly drinking at Dolls Tavern while out on bond in three separate felony cases — all of which bar him from consuming alcohol. Officers noted slurred speech, a strong odor of alcohol, and instability.
Maximum penalty: 18 years in prison.
Joshio Leon, 32, of Kenosha, is charged with felony bail jumping and disorderly conduct for allegedly hitting a man he was ordered not to contact. The two were riding in a car together on May 13 when Leon allegedly struck him. The man told officers he allows Leon to come over for food despite the court order.
Maximum penalty: 6 years and 3 months in prison.4
