KENOSHA, Wis. — A 61-year-old Kenosha man who was already out on bail in another felony case is now charged again, this time accused of threatening that “people are gonna die” if his television service wasn’t restored during a heated phone call with Spectrum.

According to a newly filed criminal complaint, George W. Long III is charged with Terrorist Threats, Telephone Harassment, and Felony Bail Jumping. Prosecutors allege that on December 27, 2025, Long called Spectrum customer support regarding his cable service being shut off and became enraged. A Spectrum corporate security investigator reported that the call was reviewed and Long was clearly heard threatening death and violence if his service was not restored, even referencing a Browning 9mm pistol.
Kenosha Police located Long at his residence and questioned him. According to the complaint, Long admitted making the threatening statements and acknowledged saying something to the effect of threatening to kill people but later claimed he was “bullshitting.”
Court records show Long was already out on bail for an open felony case involving second-degree reckless endangering safety and use of a dangerous weapon. He had also previously missed a court date, resulting in a warrant on this case before his arrest. Prosecutors say the new allegations violate his existing bond conditions, which led to the felony bail jumping charge.
Even with the new felony accusations, his history, and the prior warrant, Long was given only a $1,500 cash bail in court today and was allowed to be released after posting it. His next court date is a preliminary hearing scheduled for January 6, 2025.
If convicted on all counts, Long faces up to 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine for the Class G felony terrorist threats charge, up to 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine for telephone harassment, and up to 6 years in prison and a $10,000 fine for felony bail jumping — a combined potential exposure of more than 16 years in prison and $36,000 in fines.
Long remains free on bond pending his upcoming court appearance.

A HARD 61. He’s a trainwreck.
We have all been there with spectrum
So many people are barely literate and not able to problem solve now. And yet are hireable bc jobs have to be filled. Schools have to keep passing kids to the next grade, there is pressure to do that. (My sister was an elementary school teacher for 10 years.) so don’t blame schools entirely, m’kay? If your kid could not read and write well enough, would you give up and not make damn sure they could even if you had to do it yourself? And that’s the minimum participation I’d ever settle for. If people want more control over schooling start with our own responsibility for demanding the kid him/herself work until they can function and communicate legibly. Jeez that’s a cranky old lady rant but I’ve seen recent real customer service etc examples that make me afraid for our future.
I am almost certain his bill wasn’t even the $1,500 he spent on bail.
Pretty sure that’s not the approach you take to get your cable turned back on🤣
