Police Chief Patrick Patton delivered the keynote address, congratulating the officers on completing their training and formally beginning their careers in law enforcement.
“I’m honored to have every single one of you here today,” Patton said. “I’m proud of your accomplishments and look forward to great things out of you.”

Patton also addressed the families and supporters in attendance, stressing the department’s commitment to officer safety, training and wellness throughout their careers. He told attendees the department would give everything it has to ensure officers know they made a difference in the community they serve.
Brennan said the department has grown significantly over the years while continuing to emphasize constitutionally grounded policing and service to the public. He added that the new officers are joining what he described as the best police department in the state.

City Clerk Michelle Nelson administered the Oath of Honor, formally welcoming the officers into service.
Mayor David Bogdala also attended the ceremony and praised the officers for choosing a career in local law enforcement, calling their decision a meaningful commitment to the community.

“Each of these officers has answered a meaningful call to serve,” Bogdala said. “Their commitment to protecting our community and building trust with residents strengthens the safety and future of the City of Kenosha.”

You’re just old. I wouldn’t want that giant dude deciding I need a street adjustment or tuned up during booking
A lot of tax dollars spend on this dog and pony show.
Ya. A whole hour ceremony. Clown
They had a clown there, too?
Wow you people are something else always worrying about how much it costs the taxpayers! is the police department just NOT supposed to hire anyone?? Then if they don’t hire anyone , people complain about short staffing? Cant win!
What does this have to do with staffing? You’re rambling on…
STOP HIRING FEMALES TO BE IN THE LINE OF DUTY. A majority of female cops do not have what it takes to be a cop. Especially the smaller ones.
I was just pulled over a few days ago and a female cop was at the passenger side , so scared she wouldn’t even come to the window and her partner had to push her to do so. If you are that scared to do your damn job, why did you become a cop???
While I support any female in any job of “authority” I have seen too many times, when pushed into a situation where things aren’t going their way and or they a challenged or criticized, the tears will start !
I’m sorry but emotions can’t be a part of their thinking or response to these situations.
As for “back up” cops at the passenger side window, I would think standing back further and concentrating on the situation as a whole would be better. Besides, passengers are not the reason for the stop. Just the driver. As stated above, if you are scared, then don’t be a cop
