The deputy said she
“nearly struck another vehicle at a stop sign”.
Down BG from her driveway. Then messed up at a stop sign. Then he waited until she continued to drive drunk further to a place with more traffic !?!
If I guess the fast food restaurant and the previous stop sign, I wonder what the deputy was waiting for ?!?
For her to actually hit another car ?!?
Crash at the next intersection ?!?
Why wasn’t she stopped just after the stop sign ?!?
Did the deputy not want to get his shoes dirty ?
What if she didn’t turn into the restaurant ?
What if she continued to the next intersection and hit a car there ?!?
I think this stop process needs review by the chief of patrol ! Seems to me the deputy had plenty of cause to initiate the stop sooner. Especially at the time of the evening when traffic is heavier.
If you pulled over every car that swerved a little you’d be wasting your time with all the potholes in this city, he was gathering proof and making sure it wasn’t a non-issue.
Read the story !
This vehicle was already called in to look for !
Crossed both lines and from what I read was approaching a busy traffic intersection.
Then to blow a .12 !
I’ll stand by my comment.
The only thing I’ll agree is that the deputy was figuring out his exact situation if it was on BD southbound between 60th street (K) and 75th street (50) and Burger King.
If she went further through the intersection to Culver’s I say that was too far.
Still needs review
Drunks need to be stopped at the first crossing of either line. White or yellow. Shouldn’t wait
