KENOSHA, Wis. — Kenosha Unified School District’s Kinetic Winter Color Guard will partner with the Midwest Color Guard Circuit to host a regional winter color guard competition on Sunday, Feb. 8, at Tremper High School.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at Tremper High School, 8560 26th Ave., with doors opening at 9:15 a.m. A total of 27 winter color guard teams from Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana are expected to compete, bringing performers and spectators from across the Midwest to Kenosha .
According to the district, the competition will highlight the pageantry arts and give the public an opportunity to see the skills students develop through color guard programs, which combine elements of dance, choreography and equipment performance.
KUSD Coordinator of Fine Arts Scott Plank said hosting the event allows the district to showcase student learning while also exposing local students to broader opportunities in the pageantry arts.
Tickets will be sold at the door only. General admission is $14, with tickets priced at $10 for senior citizens and $10 for students of all ages with a valid ID. Admission is free for children ages five and under. A $1 service fee will be added to ticket purchases made with a credit card .
Additional information about the event is available through the Kenosha Unified School District fine arts department.

Holy Rosary’s Queensmen were the 1967 champions, and always in the Top Three throughout the late ’60s.
Spectators need to enter through the east doors of Tremper with parking by the football stadium. The parking lot on the west side of Tremper is for performing units only. Orchestra boosters are providing concessions onsite.
