KENOSHA, Wis. — On a Wednesday evening with temperatures in the single digits, a high school-aged juvenile lay dead next to a running SUV with its doors open following a shooting in the 600 block of 60th Street, triggering a massive law enforcement response, drawing top county officials to the scene, and launching an active homicide investigation.

Kenosha Police Department officers responded at approximately 7:55 p.m. after receiving reports of multiple people shot near the 60th Street corridor. Officers arriving on scene located victims suffering from gunshot wounds and immediately began lifesaving measures while securing the area and searching for additional victims and suspects.
Authorities confirmed that one individual died as a result of the shooting. Police also confirmed that two persons of interest were transported to the Kenosha Police Department and are being questioned by investigators as detectives work to determine what led to the violence.
Kenosha County District Attorney Xavier Solis responded to the scene along with his investigator, Brian Stuht, as law enforcement and prosecutors began coordinating the early stages of the homicide investigation.

Captain James Beller, commander of the Kenosha Police Department’s Detective Bureau, gave a brief on-scene interview confirming officers quickly located multiple victims when they arrived. Beller said officers summoned rescue crews and began canvassing the area, which led to the discovery of an additional injured person. He also confirmed the investigation has been classified as a homicide and urged anyone with information about the shooting to contact police.
According to information obtained by Kenosha County Eye, a second victim remains in critical condition. The condition of a third injured person has not been publicly confirmed. Kenosha County Eye has also been told the victims are high school students, though law enforcement officials have not yet released ages, identities, or school affiliations.
Radio scanner traffic described a chaotic emergency response involving multiple victims suffering gunshot wounds. Scanner traffic indicated at least one victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was reported unconscious, with lifesaving efforts, including CPR, performed at the scene. Additional victims were reported to have suffered gunshot wounds to the arm and face, though the exact extent of each victim’s injuries remains under investigation.
Emergency responders quickly flooded the scene, with multiple ambulance crews and fire units dispatched to treat victims and transport the injured to local hospitals. Officers expanded the crime scene across multiple blocks near the 60th Street corridor as investigators worked to secure evidence and locate witnesses.
Scanner traffic also indicated officers were searching for a possible suspect described as a white male named Aaron. No last name or identifying details have been confirmed, and police have not publicly identified a suspect.
During the search for additional victims, authorities located another injured individual near the area of 7th Avenue and 60th Street near Library Park, further expanding the scope of the investigation and response area.
Officers established a perimeter and shut down portions of nearby roadways while evidence technicians processed the scene and detectives conducted interviews. Police were also heard on the scanner coordinating resources to ensure the area was safe for medical personnel and investigators.

Due to the size of the scene and dangerously cold temperatures, Kenosha Police requested the use of the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office mobile command center, which was deployed to help coordinate the complex investigation while providing operational support for personnel working extended hours in freezing conditions.
Authorities also worked to assist residents displaced by the large police presence and ongoing evidence collection, coordinating temporary warming accommodations for individuals forced out of nearby buildings during the investigation.
Investigators remained on scene for several hours collecting evidence, canvassing the neighborhood, and interviewing witnesses. Police continue working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including the events leading up to the gunfire and whether additional suspects may be involved.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Captain Beller urged anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Kenosha Police Department at 262-605-5203.

Aaron, Aaron—trying to act tough doesn’t make you real. Real strength doesn’t destroy lives.”
Why would you put that on here? Don’t you think there’s enough hate going around ! Real doesn’t post about underage children either!

So very sad that this happened in Kenosha then to find out kids! i grew up in Kenosha it was never like this- just so shocking and heartbreaking how this world has change . i am so very scared for our future generations . with that being said i hope they final the responsible parties charge them as adults. Don’t cut them a break. They don’t deserve it and make them pay for their actions Thank you everybody that went above and beyond tonight, trying to make our community a safer place and to find out the answers. Always backing BLUE –
So you convicted the people involved before they are even identified huh? No facts, no trial, just Kev on the street with cold hands… Got it sweetie!
Now do ICE agents…
Fuck dude 💯🥺🕊️
Very emotional response. Are you OK? Maybe a therapist will help.
If you really cared about your family and friends, you’d tell them to stay away from this exacf lifestyle that’s trendy and dangerous because THIS will ALWAYS be the outcome. You can’t dance in the fire and expect to walk free and unhurt. This comes as a CHOICE, so it is remaining a CHOICE to keep watching your friends die or even yourself. I’ve lived in that lifestyle for 15 years. I’m finally out and found peace. No more excuses, stop killing each other. This isn’t about race anymore, we’re all desensitized to these events. EVERYONE is doing it and it’s time to stop normalizing it.
Are we blaming the gun this time or no?
More black crime smh
KCE-“possible suspect described as a white male named aaron”
This idiot- “MoRe BlAcK cRiMe”. You are a moron

friends of DCJ and 4PETESAKE, the hooded family
don’t downvote the truth just because you can’t handle it
How sad 😁
GREAT JOB KEVIN 👍🏻👌🏻👊🏻
Just a typical night in Library Park. Wait til weather gets nice. Not sure what can be done but something needs to be. Its become a hang out for people. Using Library as a restroom and WiFi central for vehicles parked outside. Saw an individual throwing up over the handrails at Library stating he was still f***ed up…
The whole downtown area is getting sketchy while Pleasant Praire becomes the restaurant place to be.
What are you talking about? Downtown just opened up the brand new apartment like condos at millionaire pricing… Runny eggs from Franks and gun shots are the new norm. Winter of love in pricey downtown K-Town.
… Please … more Section 8 …
If you like chains. Blahhhh
Excellent reporting Kevin ….
Back in the day, the bad guys stayed out of the cold. Seems a new generation doesn’t mind the weather. Standy by for spring and summer when things get hot! Kudos to the boys in blue. Just another reminder that even tho its a cold February night, $#1t happens. But I really want to know what Stuht did. Maybe he shook hands and looked important while the real investigators did their job.
Let’s all remember, these children belong to someone, be respectful! My deepest sympathies to all involved! Remember to always keep you’re guns locked up
To the parents—
Given how emotionally charged this case is, a bench trial deserves serious consideration. When teenagers are involved and someone has died, juries — even fair-minded ones — can be influenced by grief, fear, and community pressure.
A judge is required to focus strictly on law and evidence, not emotion or public sentiment, and to rule only on whether the state has actually met its burden of proof. In a city with recent, highly publicized cases, that distinction matters.
Choosing a bench trial isn’t avoiding responsibility. It’s choosing the forum most likely to deliver a decision grounded in law, not atmosphere.
Start charging the parents!!
This… for neglect if nothing else.
