KENOSHA, Wis. — Families with Irish heritage are being invited to take part in the 2026 Eric Olson Memorial St. Patrick’s Day Parade by riding together on a shared float and displaying a custom banner bearing their family name.
The parade is scheduled to step off at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, following a successful inaugural event last year that drew thousands of visitors to downtown Kenosha. Organizers say the family banner option is intended to highlight Irish roots while giving local families a unique way to participate in the celebration .
As part of the Family Banner Entry, the parade committee will provide a two-by-three-foot banner featuring the family’s last name. Up to four family members may ride on the float, which will carry all participating families together during the parade route. An entry fee of $100 is required.
Applications for family banner entries must be submitted no later than Feb. 20, 2026. Completed forms and payment must be delivered to Kenosha City Hall, 625 52nd St., Room 300. Participants are required to agree to parade rules, liability waivers, and photo and video release provisions as part of the application process .
The parade route will begin at the intersection of 50th Street and Seventh Avenue, travel through downtown Kenosha, and conclude at Library Park. The event is presented by the City of Kenosha, Visit Kenosha, and the Lakeshore Business Improvement District, with support from local businesses and organizations .
Applications are available through the City of Kenosha, and additional information can be obtained by contacting Kris Kochman, community relations liaison for the city, at 262-653-4177 or by email.
