TWIN LAKES, Wis. — A 47-year-old Twin Lakes man with a growing list of open criminal cases across three counties is now facing four new misdemeanor files after police say he fled a traffic stop, drove drunk despite a revoked license, and repeatedly violated bond conditions.

(Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office)
Craig C. Cantwell, 47, of Twin Lakes, was charged this week in four separate Kenosha County cases stemming from incidents in December, January, and February. Supplemental Court Commissioner Aileen Henry imposed statutory cash bail amounts after the complaints were filed. Court records indicate Cantwell posted $850 cash bail in one case, $3,200 in another, and $950 in a third, in addition to a previously set $1,300 cash bond in an earlier file. He is due back in court on Feb. 27 for initial appearances on the new charges.
Cantwell did not appear in court in person; records reflect he was released after posting bail and issued summonses.
The new cases add to what has become a steady stream of allegations since October.
October: Obstructing And Bail Jumping
In October 2025, Kenosha County deputies responded to a suspicious person complaint in the Town of Randall. Prosecutors allege Cantwell refused to identify himself during the encounter, repeatedly placed his hands in his pockets despite commands, and declined to cooperate while officers attempted to determine whether he had abandoned a vehicle nearby .
He was charged with obstructing an officer and misdemeanor bail jumping in that case and later released on a $1,300 cash bond set by Commissioner William Michel .
December: Road Rage And Revoked Driving
On Dec. 18, 2025, Twin Lakes police were dispatched for a disturbance following what a complainant described as a road rage incident near the Twin Lakes Country Club.
According to the complaint, a white SUV allegedly followed another vehicle closely, honked repeatedly, and abruptly stopped in a driveway, blocking the complainant’s path. A male matching Cantwell’s description allegedly exited the SUV, yelled, and pounded on the other vehicle before returning home .
Police later identified Cantwell through a photo lineup, according to the complaint. He was charged with disorderly conduct, operating while revoked due to an alcohol-related conviction, obstructing an officer, and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping .
January: Damage To Country Club Sign
On Jan. 17, 2026, surveillance footage at the Twin Lakes Country Club allegedly captured Cantwell pulling down and damaging a vinyl “broasted chicken” sign attached to a roadside advertisement structure. The sign, valued at approximately $100, was reportedly torn down using bungie cords .
He was charged with criminal damage to property and three additional counts of misdemeanor bail jumping in that case .
January 18: Fleeing Into Residence
The following day, Jan. 18, police say Cantwell drove to his residence while his license was revoked, ignored commands to stop, and entered his home despite officers telling him he was under arrest on active warrants. Officers later alleged he left the home on foot through another exit while police sought a warrant .
That case includes charges of operating while revoked, obstructing an officer, and three additional bail jumping counts .
February 13: OWI, Fleeing, Resisting
The most recent allegations stem from Feb. 13, 2026, when police say Cantwell attempted to pick up his daughter following a school event and was reported to be intoxicated. Officers later observed a white Chevrolet Traverse matching the description and attempted a traffic stop.
According to the complaint, the vehicle failed to immediately stop and continued toward Cantwell’s residence. Officers conducted what they described as a modified high-risk stop in the driveway. Police allege Cantwell resisted commands, physically tensed his arms during arrest, and refused field sobriety testing .
Inside the vehicle, deputies reportedly located a partially consumed bottle of Smirnoff vodka. Authorities also allege he was driving while revoked due to a prior OWI conviction and did not have a court-ordered ignition interlock device installed .
He now faces charges of:
- Operating while intoxicated, 2nd offense
- Operating while revoked
- Failure to install ignition interlock device
- Resisting or failing to stop for an officer
- Obstructing
- Resisting an officer
- Three additional counts of misdemeanor bail jumping
The OWI 2nd offense charge alone carries up to six months in jail and a mandatory license revocation upon conviction . Combined with the obstructing, resisting, revoked driving, criminal damage, and repeated bail jumping counts across the four new Kenosha County files, Cantwell faces potential exposure of several years in county jail and tens of thousands of dollars in fines if convicted on all counts.
Pattern Across Counties
Court records show Cantwell also has an open Racine County case for theft of movable property less than or equal to $2,500 and an open Rock County case involving two counts of attempted theft of movable property less than or equal to $2,500, resisting or obstructing an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of bail jumping. He posted $100 cash bail in the Rock County matter.
In addition, he previously skipped a Jan. 13 court date in one of his Kenosha County cases, resulting in a warrant. The warrant was later addressed after a voluntary appearance on Jan. 21.
Cantwell has prior disorderly conduct convictions in 2020 and again in 2023, for which he received a fine.
He is a member of a well-known Twin Lakes family previously associated with the Twin Lakes Country Club property, which has been referenced in multiple of the recent complaints.
Cantwell is scheduled to return to Kenosha County Circuit Court on Feb. 27 for initial appearances in the four newest cases.

When he kills somebody, the rest of us will be safe. Good luck on the road everyone.
Wow what happened to those Cantwell boys? Dated his dad in high school many years ago!
They changed themselves to the cantENDwell boys.
I just hope this poor leprechaun finds his pot of gold and returns home before 3/18
These things don’t happen in “Twin Lakes” says the former police chief after a tragic ending of two drug dealers in a parking lot. Oh but they do…. And frequently. Chad left his brothers with a habit and bad advice.
He’ll be told AGAIN to not drive or drink. And he’ll be told AGAIN to install an ignition switch. He’ll be given bail AGAIN and won’t do any of it AGAIN and the court will act surprised.
The court meets Einstein’s definition of insanity.
Why, why, why isn’t this crazy ass in jail? He’s going to kill someone. He obviously has no regard for the law. Anybody else would have been in jail long ago. Driving drunk with no license and his daughter in the car? Wake up! He needs to be in jail!
