SOMERS, Wis. — Devon R. Turner, 19, of Kenosha, who is charged in a high-speed stolen vehicle chase that reached more than 100 miles per hour, saw his bail dramatically reduced Wednesday after Supplemental Court Commissioner Michael “No Money” Masnica lowered it from a $25,000 arrest warrant to $2,500 cash.

What I did?
$2500 cash seems on the low end but to be fair when bail is set on a warrant the judges get zero information about a defendant’s background, such as criminal record and prior missed court appearances which are two key factors in setting bail. Bail set at an initial appearance is done after hearing from the DA and defense attorney and the DA is responsible for giving that information to the court. It’s not uncommon for their to be differences between bond set on a warrant and in court and sometimes it’s higher than the warrant as well.
That being said, most of these losers are not appearing for minor traffic offenses and any felony should draw at least $5-10k bond.
You’re shitting us, right?
He drove in a manner that could have killed any innocent member of the public ……
Thanks for the explanation.
Masnica was worthless years ago but still on tax payer payroll
He needs to get out on bail so that he can steal another car.
