Where Did All The Money Go? Non-Profit Ran By Local Politician Has Some Tough Questions To Answer
Our local rag, The Kenosha News (D), finally wrote about Berg’s tax issue after we broke the story last week. Of course though, they did not do any investigating like we did and wrote a pretty fluffy piece.
Andy Berg is a local politician that has never won a contested election. He unsuccessfully ran for Alderman and Sheriff. He finally found a position to run for that no one else did. He was elected three times now because no one else wanted the job. He is a left-wing democrat that has convictions for drugs and a DWI. He is very close to being fired from his job as a prison guard due to many policy violations, and is seeking new employment.
Andy is the founder and executive director of Garden of Eatin. If that name sounds familiar, that’s because last week, the delinquent tax notices were published in the paper. He hasn’t paid the taxes or any utilities for a house the organization has owned for 4 year. Since Andy is on the County Board, he needs to fill out a document every year called a “Statement of Economic Interest and Financial Disclosure.” He then raises his hand and swears that the document is true and correct. It is the equivalent to under-oath testimony. There is a question on this form that asks: “Are any delinquent taxes owed by you, your spouse, or member of your immediate family to any federal, state or local government?” He answered, under oath “no” on January 6, 2021 and on January 5, 2020. In Wisconsin, “False swearing” is a felony. Is that what happened here?
Side Job
Many folks in the community have noticed that Andy has taken a side job. He is plowing snow for $50-$60 per home. He uses a green and yellow garden tractor with an older looking yellow snow-thrower attachment. See below Facebook post from his friend, the violent former-gang member and multiple felon, Sharmain Harris:
When we saw this photo of Andy making some side money, we noticed that the tractor-snow-thrower combo looked familiar. Sure enough, we looked back at a Facebook post from Garden of Eatin. Yes. This tractor was donated to the non-profit. He seems like he is using assets from his non-profit to make cash money on the side. This is a BIG no-no for the IRS.
(Notice the liquor bottles in Andy’s garage. He and his wife got the police involved in a recent drunken domestic dispute and property was broken inside his residence. Listen to 9-1-1 Call Here )
Andy’s goal is to start taking a salary from Garden of Eatin and not having to work. But what is he doing with the thousands of dollars in donations he has raised? He certainly isn’t paying the organization’s bills. He told the Kenosha news that he spent the money on other priorities. As a steward of the taxpayers’ dollars shouldn’t paying your taxes be your number one priority? In a perfect world, local leaders would get involved and investigate these serious alleged violations. Andy should donate all the money he has made plowing snow to his non-profit and pay the back taxes. Andy is however, a big BLM activist and they usually gets a pass in Kenosha County.
The local Democratic machine is already starting to pour money into Berg’s grossly mismanaged organization. Judge Chad Kerkman (D), fellow board member John Franco (D), Terrance Earthen (D), Janice Erickson (D), Joe Cardinali (D), Kenosha Teachers Union President Tanya Kitts-Lewinski (D), and violent criminal Ray Roberts (D) have already donated to the delinquent taxes. Kenosha Democrats are known to stick together no matter what.
This is what happens when people don’t step up to run in local elections. People like Andy Berg get elected. If you live in the below boundaries, consider running for office in the Spring of 2022.

I am happy the Kenosha County Eye reports on these matters. There is no investigative journalism presence in Kenosha. No wonder there is so much corruption.
Thank you for reading and for your kind words!
So he was donated a blower and lawn mower, and he’s making money off it, all while not paying taxes? Is that why he started a fundraiser to pay the back taxes? Our local “journalist” only report on things that will make police and law abiding citizens look bad.
Kenosha County Eye
On Sunday, Feb. 21, The Kenosha News received 12 awards from the Wisconsin Newspaper Association Foundation.
Recently, the Kenosha County Eye (KCE) referred to The Kenosha News as a “rag”.
Seeing the article about The Kenosha News and the awards made me wonder: How many awards did the KCE win?
Thank you for reading Mr. Sommer. This is our fourth month in publication. We are not aware of any publication that wins awards in the first year, but you’ll be the first to know when we do. P.S. We are happy you decided to take down the “Antifa” sign!
Well, Allan, it’s not hard to win awards in a state with like 6 newspapers left.
Thanks for playing, Allan but you’re not tall enough for this ride.
Majority of Wisco “Rags” are owned by Lee Enterprises, who certainly has no agenda. (sarc)
Follow the money and…
