Cory D. Leavelle, 32, was convicted by a jury of the following charges: repeated sexual assault of the same child (at least three violations of first-degree sexual assault), causing a child under 13 to view or listen to sexual activity, causing a child aged 13 to 18 to view sexual activity, and two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child. The charges stem from a series of assaults that took place during the summer of 2023 at a residence in Silver Lake, where Leavelle was living with the mother of one of the victims.

Leavelle was originally charged on May 15, 2024. His trial took place yesterday, during which the jury heard testimony from both victims, their relatives, and law enforcement officers. Leavelle declined to testify in his own defense.

The state, represented by Assistant District Attorney Timothy Martin, dismissed two of the original charges prior to trial and amended others during the proceedings. The jury deliberated for just over an hour before returning guilty verdicts on all five remaining counts. Leavelle’s bond was immediately revoked following the verdict.

According to the criminal complaint, the abuse came to light in January 2024 when one of the victims disclosed the assaults to her mother. The case was investigated by the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from law enforcement in Ohio, where one of the victims resides.

Sentencing is scheduled for October 6 at 2:30 p.m. A pre-sentence investigation has been ordered.

  1. I applaud the jury.
Damn, I remember when Silver Lake was a beautiful, quiet little town.

Reading all these stories is really depressing…..

    1. It is also depressing that there are people like you.

An Immature creepy perverted old man who makes the conscience decision to share your juvenile sexual fantasies with all of us. That is exactly what you are doing by using that pathetic screen name. You are the only person, except for a maladjusted middle school boy, who thinks it is cute and clever. But you are an old man. Grow up and be a man, not a little boy who is fixated on sex.

      1. You seem….frustrated maybe? You have no idea how old I am.
But I can tell by your writing, that you are a dried up old bag, with no sense of humor.

        1. Weeks ago you wrote a comment that you have been fixing motorcycles for 50 years. That means you are and old man. Being an old man is ok, but being an immature, creepy, perverted old man is a problem. You created this problem by acting like an oversexed juvenile middle school boy.

          1
          7
          1. And YOU need to come up with some different comments for haywood. It’s the same thing over and over and over and over. I’m kinda thinking you may have a thing for haywood! Lol

            1
      2. Heywood is fixated on sex? It most certainly sounds as if you are, over and over and over… I don’t think it’s cute but it is clever. Look how easy it is to get a reaction out of you constantly. Your ranting isn’t clever but it is cute. Keep it up please.

          1. Mr. Jablowme:

You need to rein in your delusions. No one is infatuated with you. You are still an immature, creepy, perverted old man. You sealed that yesterday when you bragged about you sexual conquests back in the 1970’s when you were a middle school rock star. Normal, socially well adjusted men don’t do that. You are in a sad state. Please stop humiliating yourself,
