KENOSHA, Wis. — A Detroit man accused of injuring a Kenosha police officer during a hotel disturbance was on the run for more than a year after Court Commissioner William Michel II set his bail at just $500 cash in 2024. As many predicted, the man disappeared almost immediately — and even after being arrested yesterday, he was again given a low bail today by Liberal Activist Court Commissioner David Hughes (D).
