Eric Meadows has officially announced his candidacy for Village President of Pleasant Prairie. With a vision for a prosperous and secure community, Meadows brings forward a platform focused on key priorities:
Strategic Growth: Meadows aims to guide Pleasant Prairie towards sustainable development that balances economic expansion with the preservation of our community’s unique quality of life.
Fiscal Responsibility and Lower Property Taxes: Committed to managing the village’s finances with diligence, Meadows pledges to work towards reducing property tax burdens while ensuring essential services are maintained.
Transparency: Meadows believes in an open government where residents are informed and involved in the decision-making processes that affect their community.
Public Safety: Ensuring the safety and security of Pleasant Prairie residents is paramount. Meadows plans to support and enhance our local law enforcement and emergency services to keep our village safe.
“I am dedicated to serving Pleasant Prairie with integrity and foresight. My commitment is to lead our village into a future where strategic growth, fiscal responsibility, transparency, and public safety are not just campaign promises, but realities,” said Meadows.

Meadows will face current Pleasant Prairie Trustee, Dave Klimisch (D), who was in power during the serious corruption. Klimisch did nothing to address the corruption that involved a jail sentence from the outgoing President’s son, Jon Steinbrink, Jr.
During the corruption probe, Klimisch refused to talk to KCE about his silence, and his refusal to address the corruption. Klimisch has said that every other trustee, all democrats, have endorsed his candidacy.

Is Meadows gonna look into all the corruption that has gone on at pleasant prairie?
Why don’t you ask Dave about all the flip houses he does in kenosha with out pulling permits
Please ask Gary Roberts (Kenosha Director of Inspections) personally after pulling data of Meadows purchases. A story on Gary Roberts would be welcoming also.
He won’t have to look for the wrong doing. It will rear its head seconds after he is in office. He should gave run for trustee and president.
Now will the person who wanted change contact this man and work on his committees for election?
A lot of people talk the talk, hopefully a few will walk the walk. PP needs a leader who won’t be a corrupt extension of the Democratic machine slowly being dismantled here in the city…
Eric has MY vote!!!
All Meadows needs to promise is that he won’t be corrupt.
I know that’s cynical but considering what has happened in the past in PP just showing up and doing no harm will be enough of a shock for the taxpayers.
Voting for Klimisch is reelecting Steinbrink. Please Pleasant Prairie voters let’s make this village GREAT!! No more back room deals.
I would love to hear about all the back room deals. Please be more specific.
How about we start with Steinbrink and his son? Everyone knew what was going on, why did they get a gag order on the previous village administrator???
Is this Mike Pollocof ?
I was actually considering running for Village President just so we can rid Steinbrink but now will vote for Eric. Please do not vote for Klimisch, he is just like Steinbrink. We need to rid the swamp in Pleasant Prairie and actually have someone who works for the people.
Dave is a cross dresser!
School board member disqualifies him
Please explain
I want to hear more from Eric. My fault but I didn’t realize he lived in the village as he hasn’t been involved in village activities.
How can I help. I live in River Oaks. I Klimish. He as well as all the rest of the council needs to be replaced.
Voters of Pleasant Prairie let’s give Eric a chance we need fresh ideas, if you want MORE apartment buildings and less homes then vote for Steinbrink stooge Klimisch .
If Klimisch wants my vote he first must sign that Pleasant Prairie will have an independent financial audit done immediately before election!
Yaay! I’m in! We need this! Thanks Eric for giving PP a chance to get rid of the corruption!
Eric has my vote. Current Administration is corrupt and needs to go, starting with old man Steinbrink and the rest of his little clique
I like Eric but I think there may be a conflict of interest here. Eric is on the county board which could be a good thing. Or not. There was a study showing that village taxpayers send more money to the county than what we get back in services. Where does Eric side on tax equity issues? Would his loyalties be divided? Which side would be on? I’d rather he choose one or the other.
Just a clarification. The article states that every trustee is a Democrat. This is factually incorrect.
Although I don’t live in Pleasant Prairie anymore, I wish Jim Kremer would have thrown his hat into the ring for Village President. Very solid, ethical guy, and spends a lot of time looking out for the taxpayers of that community.
Listen to what people do, not what they say. Kramer is supporting a die-hard liberal to lead the village.
Kremer announced that he was endorsing Steinbrink stooge Klimisch.
Too bad Kremer didn’t run. I’d vote for Eric if he quit the county board.
