KENOSHA, Wis. – A 39-year-old Kenosha man, who works as a pharmacy tech at Froedtert / St. Catherine’s as a pharmacy tech, appeared in court Thursday on serious felony charges accusing him of exploiting children online and possessing illegal material.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Kenosha County Circuit Court, Dustin T. Tody faces two counts of sexual exploitation of a child and two counts of possession of child pornography. Prosecutors allege Tody distributed recordings of underage individuals in December 2024 and knowingly accessed additional illegal files.
Each exploitation charge carries a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison, and each possession charge carries up to 25 years. If convicted on all counts, Tody faces up to 130 years behind bars.
Court Commissioner Michael Masnica set bail at $75,000 cash and ordered Tody to have no internet access if released. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 18.
The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a cyber tip and forwarded it to Wisconsin’s Internet Crimes Against Children task force. Kenosha detectives traced the activity to a Kik messenger account that investigators linked to Tody. According to the complaint, investigators confirmed his identity through photographs, employment details, and his home internet address.
Detectives placed Tody under surveillance in August and early September before arresting him September 10 during a traffic stop. Officers then executed a search warrant at his residence on 22nd Avenue, seizing multiple computer hard drives for forensic review.
During the stop, investigators say Tody acknowledged suspicious internet activity traced to his Wi-Fi but declined to provide details. The complaint also notes that Tody works as a pharmacy technician at Froedtert South Hospital in Pleasant Prairie and has been employed there for about five years.
If convicted, state law requires Tody to serve mandatory minimum prison terms, including at least five years of initial confinement for the exploitation charges and at least three years for the possession charges.

Before we all pass judgement, let’s remind ourselves everyone is innocent until proven guilty in the court of law!
Sounds like they got all the evidence they need…
STFU.
Yikes, works at the pharmacy…careful, hope he’s not “distracted” at work and filling prescriptions wrong.
