KENOSHA, Wis. – The controversy surrounding 262 Moms Resources Inc. escalated Monday as the nonprofit’s board of directors issued a public statement asking the community not to discuss the situation, just two days after the group’s former executive director, Alanna Schumacher, gave her side of the story in an emotional phone call and Facebook Live video.

Earlier this weekend, Kenosha County Eye reported that Schumacher, founder of the Kenosha-based nonprofit, was accused of using the organization’s funds for personal expenses, including her home electricity and cell phone bills. The group canceled a major fundraiser that had already raised thousands of dollars, and allegedly filed a police report. Schumacher denied wrongdoing, claiming the charges were approved by board president Jamie Warosh, a local realtor who remains in charge of the organization.

Blah blah. They’re all thieving cunts.
Wow, do you eat with that mouth?
Why didn’t she just take a salary or a draw and pay her bills from that. You know, kind of like all the NGOs for the government did. Nobody would have batted an eye then. Duh!
It was an emergency fund for a situation since the business is run out of her house and when you call the non profit on Google it’s her number is what I’m understanding and in their by laws it fell under an emergency under $1000 so the board didn’t need to approve. I think this was all blown out of proportion – let’s not forget all paid back as well how is the girl supposed to run the business without the company phone. I think these things should have been paid for from the get go like every other organization in town
Yep one hundred percent this board had people that really didn’t understand how to handle this , they should have taken a breath. Continued with the weekend fundraiser. Continued with the turkey giveaway and the toys give away till the end of the year and made an internal decision how they would handle this. I know for a fact , Alanna actually suggested for them to handle it this way. That there were people out there that were counting on this to help them with their holidays.
Another reason why you shouldn’t count on others and save, prepare, plan for your own success.
They would have bad at night if it had been done like the ngos, which hide in the darkness while sucking off the public teeth. If this charity had paid her and kept that information public in regular payroll reports, it probably would have been fine. But they wouldn’t do that because it would also be inconvenient to their appearance of a volunteer organization doing good opposed to the usual situation of charity organizations having great payrolls. The problem here is yet another person who decided it would be fun to do a job without a paycheck instead of getting a real job that isn’t fun but gives you a regular paycheck so you can pay your bills like a responsible adult. 😡
This country is getting more and more people who can barely walk, claiming they train people how to run.
Never trusted a realtor especially one that looks like that one
yes, nasty woman. no one in the realtor sector likes her. hated, old, and washed up
Kevin what ever happened to that berg dude who had an investigation open for using his garden to fund his trips, tires and baseball games? I remember that story now that this one posted. Receiving checks in the amount of $10,000 if I recall
Have you been living under a rock? Moron. You
That makes no sense at all ya clown. Moron
“262 moms”: is that how much they have to weigh before becoming mombers?
Jamie Warosh is an evil woman too. birds of a feather flock together
I said this word roughly 3 times in my life. But yes, Jamie is evil and a CUNT!
Why?
C’mon “community,” please, “do not discuss the situation.”
see this is why you donate to well known fundraisers like Toys 4 Tots instead. Give Jason Barnhill your money.
Nobody will ever trust this group again🤬
It sounds as though none of them were appropriately qualified or trustworthy to run a nonprofit. It’s never ok to “borrow” donated funds. People go to prison for “borrowing” funds. It’s unfortunate that she’s doubling down and insisting she did nothing wrong. …and the follow up message to the public was a PR nightmare. A perfect lesson in what not to do. Accountability, transparency, course correction – it’s not that difficult.
At least when actual nonprofits collect donations, they know and we know they’re nonprofits.
Now we’ve got unprofitable businesses like Blak Coffee and others running around acting like they’re United Way, collecting food and cash… except the donations go straight into the business account of an “nonprofit business”.
We love small businesses. We support small businesses.
But “surprise-I’m-a-nonprofit-now!” is not a business model.
