Early Thursday morning, at 12:50 a.m., 9-1-1 calls came into the Kenosha Police Department complaining of shots fired inside an apartment complex on 60th St in Kenosha. A woman told police that the man in the apartment next to hers just shot into her apartment. She heard about 9 gunshots.

Kenosha Police arrived on scene and 60-year-old Gerald Rivest began threatening to shoot officers and yelled out “full metal jacket,” which is a type of bullet. After about ten minutes, Rivas surrendered and came out of his apartment. He was placed under arrest. The man that lives across the hallway from Rivest told police that Rivest admitted to smoking crack.

Rivest told police he had bought the gun three months ago. He said he was going to use it to commit suicide. He wanted to see how it shot, so he fired out of the window. He then wanted to see how it shot into drywall so he shot several times at his next door neighbor apartment and several times at his neighbor across the hallway. He admitted to police to drinking rum, smoking pot and consuming cocaine. Police took his blood pursuant to a warrant. Rivest told police that he probably ruined his neighbors’ lives by scaring them and risking their safety. Police went into Rivest’s apartment and located 12 spent shell casings.

  2. 75K is a JOKE! A WOKE JOKE!
This goon nearly killed his neighbors!
He even admitted he ruined their lives!
He bought the gun to commit “self deletion!”
Boo hoo. He has heart and lung issues?
What about the people and pet’s that will live in fear because this thug played “KILLER ALEC BALDWIN” in his apartment?
There needs to be a new law that every proven criminal be forced to put a big chunk of money into a VICTIMS FUND! The poor landlord will get stuck fixing the apartments. The victims will pay put of pocket, if they seek professional counseling. Sell this goons possessions and let him live on taxpayers money in a prison cell! Not in a apartment that is likely paid for by taxpayers!
Meanwhile unarmed nonviolent J6ers, set up by dirty cops, dirty Dems and three letter agencies, rot in federal zhitholes, in isolation for the most part. Without any bail or access to showers, shaving, medical care or attorney’s and family contact!
He chose to do drugs and drink alcohol!
75K cash bond so he won’t even lose a percentile to a bail bondsman.
    “GO WOKE GO FREE!”
Let’s invite the defense attorney, the prosecutor and the judge to move into the surrounding apartments next to this cowardly thug.
He’s likely to blow the building to get infamy.
Is this structure serviced by gas?
May God protect the people and pet’s that live anywhere near this criminal that will drink, drug and lord knows what else as he faces a court case and what’s left of his polluted life behind bars.
    Thuglife baby!
    Congratulations.
    ☆IMO, allegedly.
Guns are innocent. People are criminals!

  3. Will he get a DNA test?
It looks like this thug might be of the Fetterman-Uncle Fester persuasion?and a Billy Goat!
    ALLEGEDLY, IMO.
    Wink Wink ?????. jk?

  4. In 1968, the highest year for casualties for American GI’s was 16,899.

In 2022 there was over 44,000 gun deaths in America.

    Giddee up USA USA USA

      1. Absolutely a problem too.

My son is a cop in a wealthy suburb. The majority of 911 calls are domestic violence calls. Usually waving guns and occasionally a knife. Probably 10-1 gun/knife.

The astounding number of DV calls is very disturbing.

The violence is pandemic to be sure whatever your weapon. Gun, knife, fist.

The guns allow a less personal assault than knives and hand to hand.

    1. And in 1968 you could walk into a hardware store and walk out with a gun, no questions asked. And prior to 1968, you could order a firearm via mail order! And yet, we didn’t have the issues we’re having today. What changed with society between then and now? Woke, anyone?

  5. good job William! set that bond high keep him off the street,
maybe the other commissioner in the kids’ case with the gun at school should follow.
William Michal, lead. 10 k for him. should be 150k.

Anyways Willima Michal, is a very good guy and fair went to school with him always was a good guy.
