The State rested today in the case of an Illinois man who shot at deputies attempting to take him into custody for a double homicide and car jacking. Allan Brown is accused of shooting towards three deputies, endangering their safety, and shooting and hitting K9 Riggs in late 2021.
The video evidence from the body-worn camera footage makes this case tough to defend.
The jurors today heard first from two Chicago homicide cops, Vachy and Beebe. Many in the courtroom agreed that they looked exactly how one might envision a homicide cop from Chicago. They testified about two execution-style shooting murders in Chicago that they were investigating. Allan Brown was their suspect and they contacted Onstar to locate the vehicle.
Racine County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Steven Storm took a drone video and photos of the crime scene and checked on K9 Riggs, who was in the animal hospital for three days. He photographed K9 Rigg’s wounds.
Analyst Chris Johnson from Wisconsin State Crime Lab testified about the spent shell casings he collected at the scene, both from the suspect and the deputies who returned fire. The defense counsel aren’t asking many questions. The evidence is overwhelming and the state will score a “W” baring something major. The state rested today and the defense indicated that the defendant will not be testifying. The jury will have the case tomorrow before lunch.

God…..I can’t tell who looks more sleazy, Brown or his lawyer.
If you are talking about the guy, I’d have to agree. Who is the girl?
